Get your pet to a vet immediately. It sounds like a prolapsed uterus, which will kill your cat if not fixed immediately.
She is no danger to anyone, but is suffering.

Just take her to the vet. Has she not been eating? What you described should constitute an emergency and your vet should accept you as a walk in. You may want to call them ahead of time to let them know you're coming so they can have her file ready when you arrive. Most diseases aren't tranferrable between species, so you and your children shouldn't be in any danger w/ handling her to get her to the vet.

I don't know that she is dangerous to the boys, but she does sound very sick. Take her to the vet NOW. And don't allow the boys to handle her in case she is contagious.
Good luck.

Worms, your cat has them, they usually eat up almost everything the animal has eaten. The red things are worms coming out. Go straight to the vet to get her dewormed.
