My cat only like fresh food and water. He only drinks water straigh from the tap. If the water has been sitting in a dish he will not drink it. And if his food has been in his food bowl he won't eat it. He has to follow me out to the kitchen and beg for fresh food. Even if he has food in his bowl. I have to dump out his old food and give him fresh dry & fresh canned food. I don't like waisting his food. Is there any thing I can do to stop him acting like that?

They love chicken guts when we cook up chickens and give them the leftovers, and the cats are as big as some foxes, so why don't the cats try to eat live chickens?

Never had extermination before, I guess they are thinking sping is comming, feas, ticks, termites.. I won't be here all day, before I ask my apt.office,(who does not know of my cat for 7 yrs) what do I do with her? Stick her on the terrace/balcony, or should I take her in a carrier just away for a few hours?

When I come home from work the dummy is laying right in front of the door waiting for me, after 4.7 years you would think - he'd figure out not to lay right next to the door. Like he wants to get run over by the door opening.

Anyway, My favorite thing is to do is after he's done scolding me for almost mooshing him between the wall and the front door, is pick him up and cuddle him, rub his fluffy tummy then hold him on my shoulder so I can rest the side of my head on his side.
I love to hear him purring and hear his little heart thumping, it goes: pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot - pot,.... etc.

What an agonising decision to have to make for a creature you love. My male cat is 10 and he went missing for 3 days. I found him and he could barely walk. The vet said he had crystals in his bladder. He's home after 3 days in 'hospital', he is now incontinent, and walks strangely. He has had to stop the steriods he takes for a skin condition because they are making his bladder condition worse. Without them his skin breaks out into sores that wont heal. Today he wobbled across the garden and sat in the sun, I tickled him around the ears and listened to his happy purr. What on earth do I do?

I'm using the litter kwitter and I just moved to the amber stage. My cat has been on the red stage for 2 weeks and has done very well. Now that I have moved her to the next stage she won't go to the bathroom. I'm thinking about going back to the red stage until she is ready. I would love to have some advice. I'm almost ready to give up but I don't want to.

I have just woken up with a couple of bites. My cat is 3 years old and never had fleas before. But I just got a second hand sofa delivered yesterday so there could be something on that which has bitten me. I've arranged for someone to industrially clean the sofa this week, and I use Frontline on the cat.

But the bites on my leg are big, not tiny, and I live in Scotland so it could be a midge bite. Can anyone tell me how to recognise flea bites? And would it be obvious if there were fleas on the sofa or the cat? Would I see them jumping about?

Thanks...

My sister has 2 cats and one of them is either uriniating or vomitting a liquid that has blood like color? Someone said it may be a urinary tract infection. Does anyone have any information? She would take the cat to the vet, but she doesn't really have the cash unless it is absolutely necessary. can anyone help?

There has been MANY questions regarding what really works. I found this recipe online and it was the only thing that did work after trying many other solutions.

Listed below are the materials needed to make the Cat, Dog, and Pet Urine Odor Eliminator Formula:

- 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
- Baking Soda
- Liquid Hand Soap

- a clean, empty 8 oz. or 16 oz. container
- plastic spoon
- waterproof gloves (such as dishwashing gloves)
- paper towels

Mix ingredients together with PLASTIC sppon only.

You can also use baking measuring cups to make the formula - 1cup equals 8oz. and 2 cups equals 16oz.

On new, wet urine areas, wear your waterproof gloves to soak up as much of the urine as possible with the paper towels. I usually press firmly down into carpet pad. This enables you to soak up a good amount of the urine. Pour mixed solution to soak area and let dry. With old odors, no prep is needed.

Once mixed, use right away and do not store as container may burst.

I have two persian cats that are brother and sister. I have had them for about a year and a half and they get along great. Last night I shaved them both down, leaving their hair around their face and legs. I had done this before just to one of them. But, after doing this last night, now all they do is growl at each other and have even started fighting. They are both declawed, so they can't scratch each other, but I'm afraid they're going to bite each other. Does anyone have any suggestions or reasons why they are doing this? It's almost as if they don't recognize each other.

My cat constantly jumps on the tv. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but I'm afraid that one day it will fall because every time he jumps, the tv moves slightly. What methods do you use in order to deter your cat away from a particular away? Would spraying a towel with repellant work? Are there any homemade repellants? Thanks!

My cat had her leg amputated when hit by a car. It has been a few weeks now and she gets around good however, she is licking a spot between the end of the scar and her tail raw. The skin is very pink and all the hair is gone. I don't want her to be in pain. She became my pet after coworkers found her near death after the accident. Nobody would take her, so, I did. She has a wonderful demeanor and I want her to have a better life now that she has a home. I have put antibiotic ointment on the area, however, she just licks it off. I am taking her to my vet next week, but I want to know if there is anything I can do for her now. Thanks for helping me.
