I have an Orange Tabby with Golden eyes (DSH). Is he a ginger cat? What are the characteristics of a ginger cat?

I have an orange tabby that is the same. I sort of think that the so-called Ginger Cats are somewhat lighter in coloring and the stripes are not as apparent than in a regular tabby.

its a ginger cat it he has ginger fur not orange ginger is like in the midel of brownish orange and ginger eyes some times pale ginger

We have a cat named Ginger and we call her Ginger Cat so she is a ginger cat! She is many shades of a brown tiger cat!
