yes your cat does need to go to the vet just to be safe. it could be something as simple as allergies, or it could be something a bit more serious. so remember take your cat to the vet asap.

Yes, a trip to the vet is in order. She may have an infection in the eye. The fact that she is crying out sounds like maybe she got something in her eye and now it's becoming infected.

In the meantime you can clean it gently with some cotton wool and a little warm water, just wipe across the eye once, then turn the pad to wipe again otherwise you may spread the infection around.

Then she should see a vet

Hope that helps

Yes she does. Take her there as soon as possible. When you are taking her to the vet wrap her in a blanket on the trip to the vet.

My vet calls that a "cold in the eye" and it must be treated with eye drops.

Sounds like an eye infection. Or this can sometimes be a symptom of an upper respiratory infection

Do not listen to Tanny_Fanny's advice!

Sometimes, this is normal...it just means there is dirt or something in her eye.

If you see no improvement after 24 hours, take her in to the vet.
