he's limping around wit one foot. so we put some bengay on his paw. if he licks it off , is something gonna happen to him? is it poisonous?! we'll tak him to the vet soon, but i just wanna kno is it poisonous or not?

okay my cat has had this big bump on the top of his head i clean it with hydrogen peroxide because it will puss and when you squeeze it this huge ball comes out as if it was a pimple on his head. it scares me because he will scratch at it and when he does it kinda lke forms a whole and it will bleed and puss furiously but we dont have that much money right now. we are trying to sell a vehicle that i dont use much so when i sell it i am taking him to the vet so if there is any advice plz list it below. i have an offer but they havent gave me money yet so any advice will help.

Well. On January 1st, 2007 (this year) my cat Princess went missing. Then today I was looking on my local animal rescue and they had a picture of a cat. It looks EXATCLY like my cat Princess. Same color, eye color, shape, size, meow, attitude, markings and even the pad color. So we went to take a look at the cat. Well. The cat is a neutered MALE. Mine is a spayed FEMALE. But it was listed on the website as a female. I am 99% sure that it is my cat Princess. The only thing is that they say that the cat is a neutered MALE. So we looked and my mother and I both agreed that it is a female. How can I tell a neutered male from a female? There is no empty sac where the testicles used to be. I cant believe that it is a MALE. Since Princess was spayed she should have a scar on her stomach, right? So they could shave a piece of hair and see if the cat has a scar. But I dont want to put the cat through that since he/she is very upset. I belive that it is my cat Princess. How I tell if its a girl?

I'm having "Harley the devil-cat's" nails clipped by a groomer now, because he's just too fiesty for me. She says to come in every three weeks, but that seems a little too soon for me. Also, does the quick in cat's nails retract more and more if his nails are clipped more often (like dogs' quicks)?

I noticed that my pregnant cat wasn't visible for about a day and at night i went to check for her in the basement and i broght her food so she could eat too. i knew she had the kittens becuase i heard them. But, I did not SEE or LOOK to find them so that she would not be nervous or afraid and so that she would not abandon her litter like she did last summer. I saw that she was staring at me while she feed her kittens (but i still didnt see them) and when i got upstairs i didnt hear any more meowing and the next day she was outside. Today i went to feed her again and she went near the basket where she had given birth and she started to lick herself and had no concern for the kittens. I tried to look for them but i couldnt find them. WHY is she DOING this?! and is it possible that the kittens are still alive? PLEASE HELP!

To start this off, my cat is by no means a Scottish Fold, and he is not a kitten. He is currently on steroids, but he has been on them for a long time and he only started doing it a few weeks ago.

He's got a nasty habit of getting revved up in the morning and in the evening about the same time each day, and he eventually winds up tearing through the house and hanging from the drapes six feet up. We've tried squirting him with water. We've tried slapping his butt. We've even yelled at him. He knows he's not supposed to, but he keeps on doing it.

Any suggestions?

He isn't acting any different and it doesn't appear to hurt him, but wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem. I will probably take him to the vet, but wanted to put this out there first. Thanks!!

I don't want a kit, or seeds, I just want to go to the garden center and pick up a small plant that he can safely munch on a few leaves. So don't mention catnip or grass. If you don't know, you don't have to say so, you can just try to answer another question.

There is this male feral that keeps hanging around my back porch. He is tearing everything up and spraying everything that is out on the porch. He is afraid of humans, except me. I have 2 small dogs and I'm afraid that the cat is going to cause some serious damage to my dogs, as he still has his claws. I keep my dogs inside, but they are let out to go to the bathroom. I have sprayed the cat with water, shooed him away the best I could and I even managed to get him in my car and took him out 8 miles into the country, but he managed to find his way back! I live in a very small town and there is no animal shelter or professional animal control. The only thing we have for animal control is a retired policeman, and when I spoke to him, he says that what he does is trap the animal in a cage and then shoot him while he is still in the cage. I don't want any harm to come to the cat, so that option is out. What else can I do to stop him from coming around?? PLEASE HELP AND BE HUMANE

i just took my cat to the vet today and we discovered that he may have kidney disease. it is realy sad but there is still hope that we can help him get better. is there anything you did to help your cat with kidney disease??? i need advice on what to do. i have been reading stuff on the internet but personal experiences would be appriciated!!! thanks guys!! :]

My girls (cats) got spayed today. (about 7 hours ago) They are upstairs sleeping which I know is normal. What I'm concerned about is that the one that I've touched is usually a very healthy weight cat (maybe a little "thick" at the stomach) but it feels like.. you run your hands down her sides & it's "flat" consistent, and then your hands go in.. like.. like a waist.. I know this doesn't make much sense but it's so hard to explain. Is this normal? I mean they did take out her uterus and ovaries.. Any one with experience on this?

I can't get a cat of my own because I'm allergic to them but I have a garden full of cat poo and its really disgusting having to clear it up all the time and its only a matter of time before one of my kids falls over into it. Anyone have any tried and tested methods of deterring cats from choosing my garden as their toilet?
