he's limping around wit one foot. so we put some bengay on his paw. if he licks it off , is something gonna happen to him? is it poisonous?! we'll tak him to the vet soon, but i just wanna kno is it poisonous or not?

Yes, please clean it up asap. Take a ziploc bag and fill it with cold water and apply it softly to the paw to get any small swelling down and slightly numb the area. If he is still limping in 24 hrs OR you notice any swelling now, you should take him to the vet. If you notice any blood stains, bite marks, or ingrown nails, take him to the vet now. The sprained paw may not just be a sprain, but a spider/scorpion bite, or ingrown nail, or fracture, or abscess from a bite... can be just about anything.
