Nope... they are just better than humans at avoiding their bites. Same things that happen to people can happen to cats AND dogs. A young, healthy cat can take a spider bite with little to no problems, but it also depends in the species of spider... ie. a bite from a hobo spider can leave a huge, oozing nasty blister, just like it can do to people while a daddy long legs wont do anything to him.

NO! where the hell did you hear that one from? did you ever see a venomous spider bite on ANYliving thing, including humans? what? do you think they have some sort of immunity to things?
Not so. venomous spiders can pretty much screw up ANY living thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, my cat was bitten by a Fiddle Back spider and it messed up her endocrine system and totally wiped out her thyroid. . She's on Soloxine the rest of her life.

there is no sure answer for cats but dogs are not affected so it should be the same for cats.
