I have a mother cat and a kitten who was born in early November and he eats food and is getting older but he is still trying to suckle milk off his mother but she gets mad and attacks him and so he does it to his father and the father cat lets him suckle and purr and knead his hands and he will stay there for nearly 20 minutes and why does he do this even if he gets no milk?

My boyfriend said it's because they are growing. I had someone tell me they're dreaming, but this happens when my cat is awake. I know what he looks like when he dreams, this is different.

I don't understand. One night all of a sudden. He started humping me and other family members. I can put my foot really high up and move it sideways and he holds on really tight. And my family members are really mad like me. He just started this like a week ago. I have no clue. Any advice would be good.

You know, mark his territory with urine. I don't see why because he never sees another cat and he owns the whole house. I have noticed that female cats, like human females, mature much faster then their male counterparts.

Just in the past month, my 4yr old male cat has been removing stuffed animals from a childs room and has been bringing them to the living room. He only does this at night when everyone is sleeping. He is the only male out of 3 cats in our house and is the oldest. He was fixed when he was 5 months old.

as a 3 year old cat, am I too old to get, Neutered?
I only ask this simply because, my mommy and daddy have to lock me in the kitchen every night (I still have my food and litter box), because otherwise I'd spray all over the place. Please if you can help me I'd sure like to know, thanks. I'd do anything, just so I don't have to get spayed with the watergun again. Meow :)

My 12 year old cat has been diagnosed with gingivitis and apart from the obvious concerns- I am wondering what would be the best way to feed him. He is having some serious dental work at the vets tomorrow(Tuesday). His diet at the moment is dried food and cat mince and at his age it will be difficult to change his habits. Any ideas please.

Missy is beautiful and she has beautiful green eyes which I hear is rare but she is very shy and afraid of people. She has finally come out of her "shell" with me about 1 year ago but she is still afraid a lot. I got her from the pound and I love her to death as well as my other cat who she gets along great with. He was a kitten when he was brought home and Missey was an adult. Does anyone have anymore info on torties especially with green eyes and her behavior. I tried looking it up and I just figure it might be from previous owners? Thanks

There are 2 feral cats in my neighborhood which have killed my rabbits, terrorize my finches and canaries, and have killed my favorite neighborhood woodpecker. Under Nevada Law, am I permitted to kill them? They are on my property destroying my property, and they do not belong to anyone in particular. What is the law regarding this?

I have 2 younger kittens, approximately 8 weeks old, indoor only, fully litterbox trained eating hard food. I will be needing to go out of town for 5 days. Is that too long to leave them alone if I make sure they have enough food/water? If it is too long, are there places that "babysit" them?

I own a long haired Calico cat who has very oily skin. She bathes herself regularly, and she's not sick. I feed her science diet indoor cat formula (good for hairballs). I brush her regularly. She's almost 3 years old, and she's been like this since we met. What causes this, and what can I do to help prevent it?

Well, I have...oh had.. a beautiful Siamese cat named Shegwa and I was very close to him and had him for a year. He was an outdoor cat and one day he disappeared. He came back after two days. About a week later he ran off again and in that time we thought he would return. After about a month of worrying he didn't come back, but we though he'd be okay. Then one day I brought home another kitten thinking it would help bring him home (don't ask). Two weeks later a neighbor found him dead. Now whenever I see the new kitten I feel depressed and want to give her back. She's an indoor kitten which means she'll live for a long time. I can't stand to lose another pet, especially if I become attached to her. Should I return her? or keep her?
