My Kittens are 3 weeks old now and when I weighed them to my surprise 1 of the 4 is 1lb and the other 3 are 12oz my question is will the 1lb kitten be a very big cat when its fully grown or is it a normal size and the other 3 are under weight P.S the 1lb kitten was the 3rd born out of the 4, if that has anything to do with the reason.

My aunt lives by open fields. So there is a lot of mice and rats in the area. She asked me if I thought she should get a cat to help keep the rats away. I have no idea what to tell her because I don't have a cat. Does anyone know if a cat would help keep mice and rats away?

Our old moggy has always been slim but her bones are now very prominant. she seems to eat well and is always looking for titbits. She is otherwise alert and reasonably active given her age. Any suggestions would be helpfull.

My cat is very overweight. She is 2 1/2 years old and weights 21 lbs. I feed her special food for cats that need to diet (and have been feeding this food to her for over a year). I also got a second cat in hopes that this would keep her more active rather than sleeping all day. I play with her with the laser pointer when I can. She just doesn't seem to be losing any weight. Her breathing sounds labored and she snores. What can I do to help her lose weight? I love her and want her to live for as long as possible.

Hi i have recently got a 6 month old kitten (i think she is about 10 months old). We are trying to keep her as a house cat as my other cat got killed by a car. We have just bought a cay harness and lead and have been taking her in the garden in the afternoon for a stroll, which she still is not to sure about. She has plenty of toys which she only occasionally plays with. I was considering getting another kitten maybe about 8 /9 weeks old to keep her compnay. Because she doesn't go out i have just bought cat grass seed and me and my little by have planted them tonight. Does anyone know how long it takes to grow, and will she enjoy it as we don't let her out on her own. Also would like your advice on gettting a young kitten to keep her company? Thanks xxxx

Hi

Our 6 month old male cat has taken to peeing on the cushions on our sofa. It's rarely a problem elsewhere, and our 6 month old female hasn't ever done such a thing.

Is he starting to spray or has he just developed an unpleasant habit? How can we stop it? I'm washing the cushions at 90 degrees Celcius.

Both of my babies have always been so very affectionate. When we are having love time, they do the usuall thing cats do and rub their scent glands on their faces all over me and give me lots of kisses too. But what i dont get is why they feel they have to franticly lick my ears out, of cause they pur like mad in the process. Do you think they like the taste of ear wax, he he.

I am posting this in response to a question from Courtney P about her cat becoming sick after eating Iam Weight Control Dry food. I also fed my cat this kind of food and she became sick and died of kidney failure on February 8th. I threw away the food so I have no proof that it was tainted. I'm hoping other people will come forward and may still have the food to be tested.
