Hello --

My cat is peeing on the furniture, and it's driving me crazy. I think it's something about the fabric of the couch, because she also likes to go on bed sheets and clothes. She's an older cat, and I know older cats have issues, but I can't live not knowing if I'm sitting in pee all day. Is there any solution? Do I have to give her away or something? Please help!

I think it's cute but some people screw up their noses, I just want a majority opinion. If it is a cold night, I get woken up by my one and a half year old cat (She is only fairly little though). She paws at my face until I wake up and lift up the sheets for her to get under. Then she just curls up next to me and sleeps. This isn't bad is it? I think it's cute.

They started out using the litter box when we got them, now they will only pee in the littlebox but pop in the house on the carpet. i've bought a spray from the pet store but it doesnt seem to affect them. i've even tried moving the furniture where they go and they just find new spots. Is there something i can put on the carpet so they wont want to go there? a friend has sugested that i put vinagar water on the spots to pull out the smell, but that doesnt keep them away from another spot.

I just moved into a new house and everytime I take my cat out to the back he walks real low then rolls into a roll around the dirt. I think he is trying to mark his territory or is it something else?

My cat eats Purina One hard cat food as her primary diet. For the past couple of months I have given her some soft cat food with real chunks of shrimp and chicken once a week as a treat. She really loves it. Lately, I've noticed that she isn't eating her dry cat food anymore. She use to eat 1 cup a day and now she eats maybe 1/4 cup. She keeps meowing at me and looking at the spot where I usually give her the soft treat and meows when I get a plate out of the dishwasher. I think she's refusing to eat her hard cat food because she only wants the soft food now.

What should I do? I don't want her to starve herself to death or lose weight from not eating. My husband says not to give her anymore soft food and eventually she'll get hungry enough to eat her dry food again. She went to the vet last week and is healthy, weights 7 pounds.

Now I feel guilty for even giving her the soft food to begin with. Any advice?

He seriously looks like a pirate cat! Its adorable but I don't want my cat to go blind :( Anyway, I did go to the vet but she didn't help me much. I believe she claimes his right lower eyelid is rolling inward and touching the pupil...which makes it sensative so he closes it. Does anyone have any recommendations or has an idea of why its doing this? Im trying to stay away from possible surgery if it comes right down to it. I try to clean it everynow and then but it still doesn't seem to help.

We recently installed a new ceiling fan in the bedroom, we have ceiling fans throughout the entire house and she has never been afraid. But now she is increasingly afraid and hides under the furniture and refuses to come out even to eat. When she is not hiding under the furniture she is in a corner urinating on the floor. If we take her to her litter box she lays in it and refuses to leave. She is now becoming afraid of the other fans in the house cowering and looking up as she runs throught the room to hide under the bed. HELP what can I do to stop this? We don't have central air so we have to run the fans.

I will be going on vacation this summer and am currently looking up pet sitting in case my friend cannot take care of my kitten. I am looking into all my options. I cannot do a kennel as my kitten has a virus contagious to other kitties and also has kidney problems related to the recent recall of food. He is on medication daily and has to have someone come twice daily to give the medication. My question is, If I hire a pet sitter to come in and clean the litter box, give him his meds in the food and change his water dish daily, etc... Do or should I tip them? and if so, how much as you can see how much they would have to do. I might be able to get away with them only coming once a day to give the meds, if the vet says it is ok. It is only the lysene that supresses his virus that he gets twice a day in his food. Thank you in advance for your kind answers.

We think someone is feeding our cat and taking him inside their house. he is an outdoor/indoor cat, and when it is raining outside he usually comes back reletavely dry, we dont know who it could be but it worries us when it is about 10:00 at night and we call him to come inside and he doesn't come. we know that he isn't going that far because he hates crossing many streets, although sometimes he will cross one or two. what should we do?

One night I heard muttering and thought it was my husband talking in his sleep but it was one of our cats! He was making strange noises which sounded like muddled sentences, yet he was fast asleep! He has long been the infamous snorer in the house but now he started this. We have three cats but he is the only one who does these things. I just wondered how common this is.
