How i got her at a early age was that my sister had the mother cat and when the kittens were born, in the second week stopped feeding her kittens. so my sister not being so bright, got rid of the mother. there was 3 in the litter and the first one died two days after the mom left. then she gave me the grey kitten on the 17th, which was also the day the other kitten died. So i tried everything to keep this kitten going and things were great i got milk replacement and this other stuff to give ehr minerals. she was playing with toys, and asking for attention from me to cuddle. she would grab my face with both paws and bite me on the cheek and lips. bite my fingers and give love bites when i rubbed her tummy. when she didn't gain i got someone who could nurse her to health but it was to late cause on friday was the day they took her and they took her to the vet where she was doing better but 20 minutes later got a call that she past away. :'( so you see i took her , to try to save her.

Make a memory box for her, dedicate a website to her, it's so hard losing a kitten, but especially one you have been Mom too when it's own mom couldn't. I am so sorry.
You could also adopt a homeless kitty or sponsor one in her memory.
www.petloss.com might have some more ideas for you.
Remember she knew you loved her and would want you to be happy!
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitten. You obviously loved her very much and did everything you could for her. Unfortunately, sometimes kittens get sick for no reason in particular, just as sometimes mother cats reject kittens for no reason. You don't seem to be, but please don't take any blame for her dieing. Try not to blame your sister, either, sometimes mama cats reject their kittens and you can't force them to accept them.
After you get her ashes back, why not make her a "spot" where you can keep her pictures, the urn, and some of her favorite toys to remember her.

I am sorry for the loss of your kitten. Put a picture of her, if you have one somewhere in your home so that you can see her even after she is gone. If not, just remember her in your heart. I would also suggest you get another kitty, even tho none can replace the one you lost...but this sometimes helps. I would also suggest you get one that is a bit older...at least, minimum of 8 weeks. Good Luck

Really sorry to hear you lost your kitty. I have to say however that unless she was born from a litter of another of your cats 5 weeks is way way to early to have a kitten. So if this is the case I recommend not getting another until 8 weeks of age.

first of all i am sorry for your loss. i had a kitten that died its been a long time ago, and i found a nice place under a big tree to bury her, and i made a headstone with a great big flat rock, she was my baby and i loved her i always went there to see her, i know that sounds crazy to some people , but to us cat lovers its all but crazy, what helped me get over her being gone i got me another baby kitten, it helps alot but i still never forgot the first one. good luck.

i am sorry to hear that. please ignore that dirty old man. he never lost anyone he loved or he has a callous heart. we got a new kitten on 2-12-07. on 03-21-07 we had to have our malachi put to sleep. we got him because on 2-8-07 we lost our 13 1/2 yr old tortie baby., so i know what you are going through. for each one, we took some of their favorite toys, their collars, and a plasic baggie in which we put a snippet of their fur. since we had them cremated, i am looking for a cute container to put each of the memory bundles in along with their ashes. then on laceys, we will put our favorite picture of her ,her name, date of birth and date of death. i will also do the same with malachi's. i hope you feel better soon. you did the right thing trying to save her. also check out the poem rainbow bridge and the site: www.petloss.com

you did wonderful, and she was a special little baby.i know it hurts when you lose them especially so young and when they respond with such affection. if you are going to keep any of her ashes, and you dont have a picture of her, try to draw one and get a container to hold the ashes, some pretty silk flowers and your picture. make a special place in your room for them so that you can see them always.

If you have pictures of her then frame them and set them around your house. Keep her kitten toys in memory of her. Sorry for your loss :(
