Formula designed for human babies and powdered milk will not provide the kitten with the nutrients it needs. Most pet stores carry a subsitute that can be used for unweaned puppies and kittens.A finger of a rubber glove with a pinprick will provide a fine alternative to a mother's nipple.
This is a great opportunity for you to really bond with your cat.
You can form a relationship far deeper than usual. I had this opportunity several years ago with a beautiful black male with long fur and green eyes.I've had many cats over the years, but this was the most meaningful.
One observation, without a mother to bathe him and clean off all the fleas, a kitten can quickly become anemic. Your new baby won't enjoy having a bath, but as a kitten can not use a flea coller or other flea meds, this is the only way you can combat them. Best of luck with your new baby!

You need special kitty milk from a pet store and feed it with a bottle until it's about 5 weeks....then I would still use that milk in a bowl gradually thinning it with water as it learns to lap it up itself.
You should probably get some advice from a vet or shelter on how often to feed it etc. Cow's milk is not good for cats especially tiny kittens so if you really want this little guy to survive you need to get the kitten milk.

I do not know how old this kitten is, but keep in mind that newborn kittens cannot got potty by themselves. You need to help. Take a small damp cloth and rub from center of tummy all the way to butt. See if she will pee. They will die very quickly if they are not doing this on their own and do not get help. Kittens usually will start doing this on their own at about 4 weeks. Use a high quality milk for your kitten, if you want her to have a long happy life. Our tractor supply sells milk and mini bottles. Also walmart carries some, but what tractor supply has are better. Also, feed frequently. About every 2 hours. If you spread feeding far apart, kitten is more likely to get milk in her lungs, trying to eat too fast.

Yes it needs kitten milk replacer, you can get it at walmart. If there isn't a walmart near a stockfeed should have it. You need to feed it every 2 hours and you will have to help it toilet by stimulating as it's mother would using cotton wool dipped in warm water. You should also be able to get it at the vets.
You have to be careful, tiny kittens lose body heat and dehydrate quickly!
You can make this formula but it is only to be used for 24 hours, it isn't enough to keep the baby alive longer than that.
You will need to weigh it to determine how much milk it needs!
Emergency Kitten Milk Replacer
3 oz condensed milk
3 oz water
4 oz plain yogurt (not low fat)
3 large or 4 small egg yolks - no whites
Formula #1
1 quart whole goat's milk
1 teaspoon light Karo syrup
1 tablespoon nonfat plain yogurt (goat's milk preferred)
1 egg yolk
Knox unflavored gelatin:
Newborn-1 week 1 pkg
2nd week 1 1/2 - 2 pkgs
3rd week 2 1/2 - 3 pkgs
4th week 4 pkgs
Put goat's milk in saucepan, add gelatin in the amount above depending on the kitten's age. Heat goat's milk/gelatin mixture just until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat. Mix in remaining ingredients and refrigerate. It will keep up to one week. Heat to skin test temperature and feed kittens.
Formula #2
8 ounces homogenized whole milk
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon salad oil
1 drop liquid pediatric vitamins (optional)
Mix well and warm before using. Keep refrigerated.
Formula #3
1 part boiled water to 5 parts evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon bone meal per 16 oz fluid
Mix well, refrigerate, warm before using .
Formula #4
1 can Evaporated Milk
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons Karo syrup
All three mixed well and kept in tightly sealed jar in fridge.
At feeding time mix 1/2 of the estimated feeding amount with:
Equal amount of boiling water
(once a day mix 1 drop of human infant liquid vitamins in each kitties formula)
If constipation occurrs: add 1 drop of dairy cream to each kitties bottle no more than once daily till problem is eased. Test temperature before feeding (the combination of boiling water and chilled formula should be just about right)

Yes.. immediately start feeding her the powder milk that you buy at Petsmart. Get a bottle feeding kit. She needs to eat soon! Also, get her in the vet ASAP.
Thanks for being a responsible and kind human by taking her in and taking care of her. Thanks fellow animal lover.

Please, take it to a vet ASAP They will be able to let you know the approx. age of the kitten, and whether it can live on powdered milk or what is best. Or, go to your local ept store, they shuld have products for kittnes that small, and special formula for them too, if needed. They can also guesstimate the age of the kitten. Thank you for rescuing the kitten! Take care.

No, go to a pet food store and get formula made for kittens. Ask at the pet store and they will be able to tell you what you need to do. You will also have to rub its bum with a rough towel to get it to have a bowel movement. You will probably have to feed the kitten every 2 to 3 hours.
I would suggest that you talk with a vet and get instructions from them.
