We are following the practice of keeping them separated in the beginning, but our cat is too frightened to even go near the door of the new kitten's room.

I just recently got my kitty neutered and now suddenly he wants to be outdoors! he runs everytime I open the door! It's upseting my four year old b/c we have come to love kitty and can't imagine life w/out him (like if he runs outside and wanders away or gets hit by a car). I can't understand it. Before we got him neutered he wouldn't dare do more than stick his head out and run back inside. Now it's as though he lives for that oppurtunity to run at the sight of an open door. I thought getting fixed would fix this problem?? Any ideas of how to keep him inside? Would a child's gate at the door help? Do they have shock collars for kittys? Anything I can spray at the doors to keep him away?? Any help is welcomed. Thanks.

My cat will drink the condensation from the window in the morning and drink water in the shower after I'm done taking a shower but she won't drink from her own water dish? Can someone explain this?

My cat has watery eyes and he is sneezing (not a lot though). This has happened before where he was sneezing a lot and it just went away with time. He is two years old by the way.

I don't know if I can take him to the vet, it's very hard to because he doesn't like being in the car (we learned the hard way). Should I just wait until he gets better or get some medication? He has not lost his appetite, he is still eating and just sleeps a lot. So I am not sure if it is something to worry about or if it is a cold.

Thanks so much for your help I highly appreciate it.

I'm going out of town for a week. I asked one of my co workers who lives down the street just to check on my cat twice and make sure that her food dish is full. Do you think that $50 is a fair amount of pay for doing this. BTW, she is not required to clean the litter box or anything...

I feed my nine month old female cat about 150 grams of food a day (50 grams each of breakfast, lunch, and dinner). About once a week or so I'll give her Whiskas Temptations Turkey Flavour Treats (don't measure, just use my discretion). Every time I'm in the kitchen, she runs to her bowl and starts meowing like crazy! Any ideas?

She didn't have one till she was spayed, two months ago. She is acting fine, but now she was a little pooch in between her legs. Her incision healed, but i noticed the pooch when her hair was shaven.

I figured it was more noticable because of the hair being gone, but the hair has grown back and the pooch has gotten slightly larger, it isn't noticeable when she walks or runs just when she sits up.

Okay. You're probably thinking there was something interesting in the bag right? There was - boxes of jello that I bought at the store yesterday. He was interested in the bag when I first brought it home and I left the jello in the bag because I am going to use them for something. So today there were holes chewed in the bag. So I went over there while he was trying to get into it and dumped out the boxes of jello. He was not interested in them at all. All he wanted was the bag and when I turned the bag inside out he began licking it! It was a brand new bag from Walmart, and he wasn't interested in any of the other bags!

(I have a cat who is entirely black, although her skin is white, and where her hair parts on her belly, you can see it. The insides of her ears are pale pink and gray and black, mottled. Her tongue is pink, but with a black spot. Now that she's getting older, she has the random silver hair every now & then, but otherwise, there's no other color. I never thought this was rare, but is it?)

My current kitten is about 9 months old. I'm getting a new 6 week old kitten on Saturday. I heard from some friends that for the first week I should keep them in seperate room before introducing the new kitten. Any suggestions? Has anyone done this before?

My poor kitty keeps meowing and gently gnawing on things like my knuckle and the edges of chairs. He seems really calm, but he meows when he can't find anything to chew! Is this teething (I've never had a cat before, sorry) and what can I do to help him?
