She didn't have one till she was spayed, two months ago. She is acting fine, but now she was a little pooch in between her legs. Her incision healed, but i noticed the pooch when her hair was shaven.

I figured it was more noticable because of the hair being gone, but the hair has grown back and the pooch has gotten slightly larger, it isn't noticeable when she walks or runs just when she sits up.

the same thing happened to my cat when I got her spayed. I went back to the vet to see if anything was wrong. Nothing was wrong. It normally happens to cats that have been spayed. Nothing unusual. I would take her to the vet regularly but for something like this where nothing has changed besides a little pooch, I'd just call. She's acting normal so I wouldn't worry too much.

The same thing happened to my kittens. It has nothing to do with getting them fixed. Our vet told us that they gain weight between their legs because it still allows them to be able to crawl through small spaces. How old are your kittens? If they are indoor cats you might consider switching them from kitten food to adult food, around 8-10 months. Our kittens are 8 months now, but on adult food, since they are indoor cats and do not need the extra calories any more. In short, your kitten is gaining weight. It is a good thing, but if it continues, you might try switching food.

PS--
Maybe I am way off because you say it isn't noticeable when she walks. The pouches on our cats are definitely visible when they walk. If all else fails, call the vet and ask. Anyway hope this helps. Good luck.

It is because they have to cut through a fine layer of muscle to do the spay, not wieght gain.
It will always be there, and it will not keep getting bigger, it will just grow with the cat.

No worries! :)

You have to cut through muscle in order for her to be spayed. Its noramal for a kitty to have that. My female cat has it. I call it her buddah belly. No worries!

She has been fixed and it's sort of like a women having a hysterectomy. Her hormones have changed and she may put on a little weight like women do.
