My nieghbor rescued a female cat, and is saving money to get her spayed. The cat is currently in heat and driving her crazy. I have a male cat who is nuetured. Will my cat mate with hers, So the female will stop driving her crazy? If he can should I let him mate with hers or not?

Just trying to help someone out.

Sadly (for the cat) no. Once neutered the cat will have no interest and no ability. Have your neighbor contact the local Humane Society and explain her situation. They may arrange for a low-cost or free spaying.

Even though the cat may act like he wants to mate he can't. When an animal is neutered or spayed the reproductive parts that can achieve pregnancy are removed. The male does not have any testicles any more.

most animal shelters (ie Humane Society, etc.) do low cost spay and neutering, cat's are pretty cheap, should have cat spayed, may get out, besides meow alot or act funny when in heat, may not eat well either

Yes, he will and that is a great idea. It will trick her into being pregnant which should keep her quiet for about 7 weeks. Many proper registered breeders have neutered males for this very situation it is quite common.
