someone told me today to put real mayonaise (hellmann's)not miracle whip on cat's and dog's to kill flea's..and he also said that the schools recommend to put it on kids heads if they have lice..is he pulling my leg or what i ask..thanks

we have brother and sister kittens who are booked in for their neutering/spaying next week. She has today come into season and we dont know whether we should separate them for a week before their ops? Is it cruel to separate them?

She's been losing weight continuously. We tried can food, dry food, mixture of both, mix with tuna, ... just nothing works. She's really skinny now.

I have a walled patio and the cats are unable to scale the wall. They are however able to scale a tree inside the patio which is quite close to the wall. If they climb the tree they can get over the wall which, of course, is what i am trying to perevent.

he gets distracted by everything. Very curious. He loves to sleep and he is 10 weeks old. hes also super skinny and very cute. please give us names ...any name...we are desperate! He has been nameless for a week already.

I have a very aggressive cat, I adopted her, (she was abused by her previous owner) I really need to clip her nails and everytime I try, she freaks out and gets really squirmy and tries to scratch me. I know shes not a mean cat, she just gets scared when I try it. I was wondering if there is anything that I can give her to calm her down. Some people have told me that I can give her a small amount of Ny-Quil or Benadryl, and she'll fall asleep and be drowsy and I can do it then, but I want to make sure thats safe. If anyone has any advice or methods, please help.Oh, and my local vet said that they won't even try if shes aggressive.

My husband doesn't like our cat sleeping in our bedroom, he says it bothers his allergies. But I like having my cat with me, he is so sweet. I am not sure who I should pick between, my cat or my husband.

but, my cat will rub up against ANYTHING, me, boxes, the vacuum cleaner, the corners of walls, my stereo speakers...wtf? I'm not alarmed, but it's so funny, why does she do this...constantly??

she doesnt have parasites or worms- we feed her high quality food...

and she under a year old...


she randomly does it...


is it just because its itchy?


is she marking the house?


is there anyway i can get her to stop?


because she does long ones and while its hilarious- its also pretty gross..

My aunt passed away, and left her 3 year old cat. The cat now lives with my 95 year old grandmother, but she cannot care for her. Every adoption agency I have contacted tells me that they do not do voluntary give ups. Which is a problem, because this is a situation that we could not avoid, the owner died. But even if we turn it over to animal control, the cat is microchipped, and the address goes back to my grandma (she lived with my aunt), so this seems like a never ending cycle. I tried Craig's list, but everyone that said they wanted her, never came to get her. Anyone else have any ideas?
