Well, the oldest cat ever I believe was something like 32 (there's a post somewhere about the oldest cat). Being blind should make no difference to the life expectancy, and being kept indoor will certainly keep the cat safe from a variety of dangers. If there are no other medical issues, then the cat will just live as long as it lives!
Contrary to the post above, this cat is not suffering. There are lots of blind cats, perfectly happy. They can find their way around using smell and their whiskers help too. Putting animals down because of a simple medical issue is just usually human beings laziness and lack of willingness to work a bit!

Cats can typically live to be between 15 and 20 years nowadays with proper care and nutrition - some even last longer into their mid-20's depending on breeds. Unfortunately there is no way to tell - but if you have taken this cat to a vet and all his or her bloodwork comes back normal and in good areas for an 18-year old cat then you could have one that last easily another 3-5 years with proper care! The blindness has little to do with how long they will live, just that they obviously will have to rely on their whiskers and other senses far more than normal.

That cat will probably live several more years! 18 is pretty old but there's not reason to think it's on the brink of death unless it's sick. Blindness isn't a big deal to a cat. Just make sure its bowls, bed, litterbox, etc don't get constantly moved around so the cat doesn't have to go looking for them. :)

First of all let me congratulate you for a cat that's reached 18 years old. If the only thing the matter with him is that his blined, then I think he can live well into his twenties. As long as you take good care of him, keep him indoors and if there are no other underlysing medical issues like diabetes, hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, etc.
May your kitty live a loooooooong kitty life.
Oldest cat on record is 34 years old.

It depends on the cat's general health and genetic makeup. 18 is an old cat, but if he's healthy and happy and gets good veterinary care, he could live several years longer.
There are some things you can do to make your older blind cat more comfortable - please see the links below for more info.

i have a blind 15 yr old cat and other than the fact that she is ornery she is doing well and she is also a picky eater all she will eat is broiled chicken breast...when i found her in oct she was left out by her previous owner, im assuming to die or to be killed, she weighed only 6lbs and she at that time was only blind in one eye...since she became blind in the other and it took her a little time to figure her way around she usually just wants to sleep, eat and potty

You need to take it to the vet and have it put to sleep as it is suffering every day it lives
