Hi there...consider either Petfinder http://www.petfinder.com or your local Detroit Craigslist http://detroit.craigslist.org/pet/ . People post free pets on Craigslist every minute daily so be sure to check back often.

I am also in Metro Detroit. I have worked with an animal rescue for over a year. I can not give you any free kittens, however I would highly reccommend searching PETFINDER.COM there are always people on there looking for someone to take them for small fees to ensure the safety of the animal.

Well Here Were am at in Canada there is this grocery store which has a bulletin board and many many pets for free are posted there......we have sold our birds there and have gotten a hamster for free!!!!!!!!

If this is not availabe you can check-out an animal shelter....they will most likely ahve kittens [i got mine from a shelter as a kitten now its 6 years old and its not like its eye is wierd or its wild or anything!]

Newspaper i wouldn't guess to work but hey check them out.....dun go for the local smaller newspaper go for the big newspaper delivered to a range of differnet cites!!!!!

But please have your kitty neutared and have a collar on it!!

go to www.craigslist.com and search for your city you can also try animal shelters although the animal is free you will most likely have to pay for its spay or neuter via a fee to adopt. If you do go to a animal shelter they will most likely have the spay/neuter and shots already done so you will not have to pay for those.
