Maybe he thinks you are hissing at him and he is defensive..I suppose you could bite him back...You'll have to be fast.!

I like to bite! Its my way of saying play with me"" at least this is the mentality of a kitten. If it is over a year old, the cat just might feel like you are invading the space. Neautered or not? That does depend on the attitude alot. I have 2 males and 1 female. The neautered one likes to play hunt with me. I will hide around a corner, he will get down and charge me. he gets on his hind leggs and swings at me with his claws in. (on my face) So its not a bad thing. Actually a good thing (if hes not hurting you) he might be playing. nibble on his ear or something lol good luck

Some cats love to playfight with their owners, they would do that with their siblings. They dont do it to everyone in your family , just the chosen ones.
Dont pull away too fast because your skin can easily get scratched.

What would you do if someone stuck their nose in your face and started sniffing? You'd push them away and ask them what they're doing. You don''t like it, neither does the cat. He's just telling you to back off and stop it.

Could be he thinks you're about to eat him. Most animals sniff stuff before they eat it...
