My aunt passed away, and left her 3 year old cat. The cat now lives with my 95 year old grandmother, but she cannot care for her. Every adoption agency I have contacted tells me that they do not do voluntary give ups. Which is a problem, because this is a situation that we could not avoid, the owner died. But even if we turn it over to animal control, the cat is microchipped, and the address goes back to my grandma (she lived with my aunt), so this seems like a never ending cycle. I tried Craig's list, but everyone that said they wanted her, never came to get her. Anyone else have any ideas?

maybe you could take a ad out in the paper asking if there is anyone that has a cat friendly home would like the cat. Or ask at your local human society they may have some good suggestions for you

i'm so sorry to your loss. it particularly is not weird and wonderful in any respect. Love and religious ties are actually not purely between human beings. The day my grandmother handed directly to the excellent beyond, the little canines that my uncle had given her in simple terms in the previous he died (10 years in the previous) left her facet for the 1st time in weeks. It had gotten to the factor that we would ought to drag him out to circulate to the bathing room or to consume. So while he have been given up on his very own and went to the door to be set loose, I knew that Nana became going to die that day. as quickly as we went to permit him back in, he had gotten out of the backyard. He in no way got here back. not one of the acquaintances observed him. no person ever got here across a hint of him. Nana handed directly to the excellent beyond some hours later. i've got confidence that bond can circulate the two approaches.
