Hi Natalie...prices for pedigree Siamese cats will vary depending on the type of Siamese breed as well as quality of the breed from anywhere between $150 - $1500.

Consider ringing a variety of breeders to learn more about the different types of Siamese cats and prices: http://www.breedlist.com/siamese-breeders.html

In the UK, I know people who have paid £500-600 per kitten. Insurance costs also go up because this is a breed that is very attractive to thieves meaning you also have to watch these cats like a hawk unless you want someone going off with them. To be honest, I wouldn't even let siamese cats outside for fear of theft so you do need to consider that.

Be very careful about buying a kitten on the 'cheap' as there will be the risk these cats will have been in-bred with mothers kept in poor conditions and kittens having a high chance of being sickly. Either find a proper siamese organisation in your area to direct you to a trustworthy breeder or ask at your local vets for a place to buy.

You'll be able to get cheaper kittens or older cats at the Cats Protection homes and you'll also have the feel-good factor of giving an unwanted cat a home. Siamese cats are cute but you need to weigh up whether they are worth these big bucks.

My uncle has had siamese all his life. He just bought a new kitten for 200 dollars the other day. It seems like a bit much, but he likes siamese way too much to pass it up. If you are looking for a pure siamese, you might have to pay a bit more. But you can find a Siamese mix that looks exactly like a purebred for either free or very cheap. Check your local papers, animal shelters and i always suggest www.petfinder.com

it really is dependant on the pureness of the breed but to be honest if u want an up market cat then forget the Siamese and go for the Mau (the cat in Egypt) these cats are beautiful and extremely affectionate and loyal. but if u do go for Siamese a pure bred female can set u back 8 or 9 hundred pounds.

Hi, if you're in the UK then, on the Preloved site their price seems to range from about £125 to £380. The less expensive ones are likely not to be registered & therefore only available to pet homes (which might be just what you want). The price will also vary depending on where in the country you buy them ... far flung places generally offer them for less money as you have farther to travel.

On this site they range from £250 to £400:
http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pets4homes/home.nsf/PV?SearchView&Query=(FIELD%20TypeTX=Cats)%20AND%20(FIELD%20BreedTX=Siamese)&start=1&count=10&SearchOrder=3&ExactMatch=True&SearchWV=FALSE&SearchFuzzy=FALSE&SearchMax=200

I couldn't see any prices on the Kittenlist website:
http://www.kittenlist.co.uk/index.php?page=adsearch&at=0&ct=2&bt=361&ar=
But generally when the breed name is quoted in the listing it means that the breeder has registered her cats with one of the cat registry bodies (generally GCCF in the UK)

You can also find Siamese kittens on the Siamese Planet website:
http://www.siameseplanet.co.uk/kittenlist.htm

and the Siamese & Oriental Cats Online Club site:
http://www.siameseandorientalcatsclub.com/result_kittens.php

Sometimes you find breeders are willing to let two kittens go together at a reduced rate - after all it's great for the kittens to be rehomed together. Others, however, don't always offer a reduction arguing that it has cost the same to raise each kitten, etc. Once you've got all your other questions for the breeder out of the way (& you've answered theirs) it may be worth asking.

You may sometimes see adverts for 'Traditional', 'Old-style', "Classic" or 'Apple head' Siamese for sale - these, like the names imply, are more like that Siamese that used to be around & are slightly chunkier & less elongated than the 'regular' Siamese. They also have slightly thicker coats, according to the info below:

or see here too:

Hopefully I've linked to some photos below.

Good luck, Siamese cats are beautiful animals (whether traditional or 'modern') & are great company to have around - hope you find two wonderful kittens.

Oh & if you'd like to rehome a couple of adults instead - then this for info on Siamese Cat Rescue & who are currently looking for loving new homes:

Siamese are gorgeous cats- I have a beautiful burmese- very similar to Siamese just make less noise and are slightly more sociable! We paid around 400GBP/$750 and that was 14 years ago. Pure breeds cost a lot more-it's worth checking their 'family tree' etc when you go to buy to see their pedigree.. Good Luck!!

Look in phone directory and adds in your newspaper, their are Siamese rescue groups all over the country. I assume you are wanting to buy .Rescue groups of any type of animal charge very little compared to sellers. The groups usually charge what the animals upkeep has been plus shots. Good luck

well siamese cats are purebred, and will probibly cost more because they are of more value then non purebreds, so they might cost sumwhat between.... 200 to 500 bucks at most petshops. but some people sell them for cheap, so check the classified ads in the newspaper. hope i helped!

I would say up to £500 or more ($1000), check the breeder and their reputation carefully.
