My cat stresses out when it's time to use the litter box. He will use the litter box to urinate but he refuses to use it to take a dump. I have used regular cat litter, pine litter, corn by product litter, crystal litter, armor hammer litter. Help

Before she drinks her water she sits there staring in the bowl for a few minutes, then she hits it with her paw and moves it across the floor until most of the water has spilled out, she can move it across the whole kitchen, making the floor wet, and her paws wet, and leaves little paw prints everywhere. I have to dry the floor about 4 or 5 times a day!
I tried giving her a heavy bowl that she could'nt move, but she just would'nt drink anything then and meeowed all day!

My cat is drinking alot of fluids, and she's salivating, almost pouring liquid out of her mouth. Like the water is coming back, possibly just over-salivating but it's not as she normally would. No problems breathing or change in behaviour but it's not normal in her that i know for sure.

My 7 month old male cat is sick, Tuesday I noticed he hadn't been eating, and he's been sluggish. I've tried everything to get him to eat, no luck. He's been going to the litter box and he's been drinking water, actually a lot of water, he keeps drinking out of the toilet, (now we have to keep the door shut because he keeps falling in and getting all wet, he doesn't even seem to care he's all wet.
I thought at first it was that maybe he could have gotten into something not so good for him, my husband said he thought he heard him throwing up but couldn't be sure. I never saw a stain on the carpet.
I was waited to see if it would pass, thinking because he really wasn't having any really bad signs of poisoning, just the ones I described earlier.
it's been 3 days and only today has he gotten worse.
I don't know what to do for him, I don't have a vet. My husband says we don't have the money to take him to the vet. Anybody got any ideas about what I can do for him at home.

I HAVE READ MANY MENTIONS OF THIS BARBARIC PRACTICE IN YAHOO ANSWERS OVER THE LAST WEEK...
Some cat owners seem to find it completely normal... My God! How would you like to be scalped or have your nails removed!? Oh, under general anaesthetic, of course...

We have had our cat for 1 1/2 years and she is wearing out her welcome! We can't have any live plants because she eats them. She poops in the box and then climbs onto the bed leaving poop from her sitting. She has destroyed two sofas by scratching. And the Christmas season is upon us and I'm afraid to put a tree up because I know she will tear it down. She is way too active. I thought she would have calmed down by now but she still acts like a kitten. Plus she is getting fat because she eats so much. My nerves are really wearing thin! I will miss her if I give her away but I think that's what will have to happen. Any suggestions? Any takers? She's a black domestic, 1yr. 9mos., energetic, spayed kitty in the Chicago area

I have always been a cat owner but I have never bought a purebreed cat. I am interested in getting a bengal kitten after recently putting down my other kitten. Does anyone have a bengal and can tell me if they make a good pet? I am looking for a cat breed that will be very social, active and will be ok in an apartment! I don't even know where to start in terms of looking for a reputable breeder either. Any info or suggestions about bengals would help!

My cat will sit by the door and meow to go out. When I open the door for her, she stands half in half out for a while before going out. She does the same thing when she comes in only she walks toward the door, stops to look at a bug, walks some more, stops and looks at the yard, walks some more, stops to wash her ear, walks some more.....before she actually comes in. What's the deal here?

Ok so I always debate with my mom about our "outdoor cat" who became an outdoor cat after peeing all over the place numerous times (now we have new carpet, can't handle it). The thing is very fat, we feed him, brush him, and he has a thick black coat....

But it is freezing outside, are we neglecting our cat? Do cats really have what it takes to survive the winter completely outdoors? I just walk out of the house in the morning and feel bad for him :( isssocold.

I'm sorry if I sound stupid. I've never had a cat before. I just found Fonzie a couple of months ago and felt sorry for him living in that dumpster. Now that I've taken him in I want to take good care of him. The vet said he's maybe 3 years old. What games would he like? I got him these catnip mice and some feathery things. What does a good pet owner do? Also, thanks everybody for helping me.

I love my kitten but he is insane! We just bought our christmas tree and it's real. He knocked all the ornaments off the bottom of it and he jumps to try to get to the top of it! He plays with everything but his toys. He knows he isn't supposed to because when I fuss at him, it looks at me. When I get up to go after him, he takes off running and as soon as I sit back down he goes right back. In the mornings, when I get up and go in the kitchen, he weaves back and forth between my feet and I trip on him all the time. He won't walk anywhere but between my feet and I fall over him. Even when he has canned food in his bowl, and I go in the kitchen he meows and won't stop until I put food in his bowl or pretend that I do by just stirring what's in there already.

Also, I have been hearing that people feed their cats a completely raw diet. What exactly is that?

I brought my cat Fonzie home from getting neutered and shots and microchipped yesterday. The vet said all went well. I got Fonzie some toys for cats and a bed and stuff people on here said he needs. The vet said to feed him this really expensive cat food because he's been living in a dumpster before I found him and needs vitamins. So I got the food. The thing is Fonzie is at the door howling. I think he wants out. It's cold out and I think he should stay put. I kind of wanted to just keep him in all the time because this crazy lady with about 20 cats napped him the other day. That's why I got him chipped. Anyway, why does he want out? Do you think he's mad because I got him fixed and wants to run away? And he's he's got this long black fur that's got tangles in it. How do I get them out without hurting him?

My cat is 17 years old. For a few months now, she's been crying at night...like a really loud, deep cry. She's starting to do it all the time now. I'm not really sure why she does that...we thought maybe because she is afraid of the dark, or misses my sister who is away at school, but that doesn't make sense anymore because she did it during the day while my sister was like 2 feet from her.

Does anyone know why she cries like that? How can I make it stop?

Any vet here that can tell me if my cat can get sick if i put out in the snow? She is a blind 9y-o and usually indoors, but we like her to take a walk sometimes and do some exersice , so last time we took her out in the snow and after few minutes she started shaking. I figured it was too cold for her but then in my mind i thought maybe her bones arent to strong anymore , im afraid of arthritis (if they can get it im not sure) or anything like that that maybe i dont know about. In one hand i have her moving but in the other she can get sick. What do you think?

Help! he looks like a street cat my other cat has no problems with her fur but he does. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

I have an average size and she gave birth to a second cat that's almost 2 years old. The baby cat is noticeably smaller than the mother cat, even though they're fed the same. Will she continue to grow or is she going to stay small?
