Female cats usually go into their first heat at about 6 months, and if they're old enough to go into heat they are old enough to have kittens. A female cat will not allow a male to mate with her if she is not in heat, nor would a male want to unless she was ready to breed. It is not the same with animals as it is with humans. In other words, a human female may have started menses, meaning she "could" get pregnant, but she may have problems with a pregnancy and is definitely too young to be a mother--with animals, it is encoded in their instincts to be able to handle birth and motherhood as soon as they are of an age to breed.

Definitely sounds like she is pregnant. Taking her to the vet to get an ultra-sound or a x-ray of her belly is a good idea to check if she is pregnant and how many kittens she will have. Getting her spayed would be a great idea as you will have a lot of trouble homing a maximum of 12 tabby kittens.

Mike S: Having an "adult face" has NOTHING to do with the maturity or age of the cat. I think the owner of the cat would know for sure how old she is.

before each and every thing, only relax. Cats were having children at each and every age for a lengthy, lengthy time period. only make confident she is healthful by giving her staggering high quality foodstuff and sparkling water and lower than no situations do you may want to enable her outdoors now. If she is an quite small lady (lower than 7 pounds), she may only have one kitten or some quite small ones. Take her in for a examine-as a lot as your vet once accessible to alleviate your fears about her wellbeing and ask their opinion if she will be in a position to need veterinary information in handing over (Cesarean area). many times, cats do advantageous on their lonesome. As for the human beings who're telling you she will be in a position to die, nicely, are they vets? only bypass to the vet with your little lady and set your thoughts comfortable. you may want to attend till the kittens are weaned earlier you've her spayed. because that that's July, she'll probable have her kittens in September (you probably did not say how a thoughts alongside she is) and it truly is going to be yet another 3 months after that. only save her interior and healthful. Wishing you each and every and each and every of the perfect.

She's young but she has an adult face...so technically an adult now. The question is...can YOU handle the pregnancy...which could mean up to six new kittens? Being so young though she'll probably have a maximum of two.

p.s. I would guess she's older than 6 months...probably 8 or 9..her face is adult shape.

p.p.s You can give me a negative vote as much as you want, doesn't change the fact she has an "adult face".

p.p.s..THE SHAPE OF A CATS FACE IS VERY SIGNIFICANT OF MATURITY...MEANING IT IS IN FACT A CAT AND NOT A KITTEN ANYMORE. SEEING 6 MONTHS IS PRETTY MUCH STILL A KITTEN, BUT SHE HAS AN ADULT FACE, I WOULD SAY SHE'S A BIT OLDER. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, LOOK IN A BOOK OR ASK A VET. A CAT'S FACE WILL CHANGE SHAPE WHEN IT BECOMES AN ADULT...I'VE HAD CATS ALL MY LIFE!!

NOW...THIS PERSON DOESN;T EVEN KNOW IF SHE'S PREGNANT LET ALONE HOW OLD SHE IS (SHE SAID "ABOUT 6 MONTHS"). HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW IF YOUR CAT HAD A CHANCE TO MATE WITH A MALE CAT? THAT'S ABSURD!! DO YOU LET HER OUT ON HER OWN...OR WHAT? IF SHE'S ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD LIEK YOU SAY SHE SHOULDN;T BE LEFT OUT TO WANDER ON HER OWN...IF SHE'S OLDER, THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY. BUT MY POINT IS, YES, SHE'S DEFINITELY MATURE ENOUGH TO BE PREGNANT BECAUSE SHE HAS AN ADULT FACE I.E. IS MATURE TO HAVE KITTENS OF HER OWN.

AND TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER...TAKE HER TO THE DAMN VET IF YOU'RE SO WORRIED...ACTUALLY...TAKE HER...YES TAKE HER!!! NOW!!!

GOD'S SAKE...*ROLLING EYES* *TUTTING* *POUT*

yes she is pregnant. expect kittens within 3 weeks if she is showing. nipples pink up at 21 days, and tummys start to get rounded at about 40 days. a gestation period for a cat is 65 days.

please get her speyed.

I don't think she is pregnant. I do not know much about pets, but my guess is she is just getting fatter. You can take her to the vet.
