my kitten just turned a year old in october, he has been nutered and had shots, the vet said he has a sign of feline lukemia because of his pint gums, he is a pure white cat and so is his brother. he doesn't seem sick no loss of his appetite, seems very healthy, but he does act like he has a hard time seeing. It seems like he only sees shadows.. any suggestions, please help, Im very much a cat lover and would like to know if i can do anything....thanx

It's this weird little thing.. it's a tiy little red spot.. aobut the sizer of a small pea maybe. Irregular shaped. and in the center is this hard little thing. it kind of feels like human fingernail.. maybe a tiny bit softer.. it's whitish yellow in color.. it kind of feels like if you picked at it really hard it might come off but not without hurting.. maybe not though. It kind of looks like a big thick sliver like thing.. but it's not.. it is growing out.

I have no clue what this could be.. any ideas?

my kitty is 10 months old and has been kinda a pain in the ***. she gets into stuff and doesnt learn when she is punished for doing something, like jumping up on the counter, we spray her with water, she jumps down, next day she jumps up on the counter. stuff like that, we are consistant with her but notheing really seems to be getting any better. but the biggest problem is now that she has been peeing on our stuff, on book bags, in shoes, even on shower curtains. is the all a phase or is she just a naturally naughty kitty?

I just got a new cat from the animal shelter, and they have them spayed. I picked her up from the vets office, surpized to find that she had two metal like stitches coming from her stomach.. When I got her home we layed her down and tried to get her to rest, but she is obsessed with those stitches. The vet says that she shouldn't be messing with them that much, but they didn't give us any type of cone or way to ensure that she doesn't pull them out. Im worried about that, and the vet office is closed now and wont open again till after the holidays. They didn't tell us that we needed to come back in to have the stitches removed so will they fall out on their own? and is there some way to prevent her from messing with the stitches.. it wouldn't be so bad if she was just licking, but she is trying to bite the eccess metal ends off.

I purchased a kitten, yesterday, from a pet store. He had his first set of shots and is due in two weeks for his second. I love him already, he's cute and easy so far, but when I hold him or when I'm close to him his claws scare me. They come out all the time and he always looks like he is scratching his claws at me. Am I doing something wrong? I am extremely gentle and when I called a local vet he told me to have him declawed. This is NOT an option. Can anyone with experience and knowledge of cats enlighten me to any alternatives. Also, at what age can I have my cat nutured and what are reasonable price ranges for an uninsured cat? Thank you!

My cat, Lucky, was being chased by a dog, but he ran under a car and the wheel squashed him. Now he won't look at me when I call him, even if I offer him his favourite tuna cat food. I know that cats have 9 lives, so I hope he'll soon wake up. My Mum says Luckies sleeping, and I should let him rest, but he must be cold on the compost heap where my Dad threw him. If he is dead, can anyone tell me when he'll wake up to start his next life? I hope he'll be OK, as I told Miss Carter I'm taking him in to bring your per to school day, after Christmas. I hope he'll be OK, he looks to be resting nice and peaceful.

Now, she has it back again & will only eat a little wet food. She's also shedding a lot. Do you think she has a little cold, or something more serious? (She also has conjunctivitis, for which she's being treated by an ointment from the vet) I guess we'll head back to vet agian tommorrow, but if anyone has any words of wisdom, I'd appreciate it. (No cat haters with wise a#s answers, please!)

I have a cat who's about 2 years old. Everytime I put a glass of soda in her face or even the cap from a soda bottle she scrunches her face and tries to back away as if she hates it. Is there a reason or is my cat just crazy?

The vet says our 3 year old cat, Harry, is peeing all over the house due to "behavioral reasons." We also have a 4 year old cat and the vet thinks they might not be getting along as they used to. Also, we have 3 year old potty-training twins (children!), who have made more than their fair share of accidents... Anyone think the cat is peeing in response to the kids? How about the fact that they aren't mean to him, but they do want to touch him more than he wants to be touched. The vet suggested some spray that might help, in addition to more litter pans (we have 2 already...). Any suggestions? We really don't want to give Harry away - we just want him to stop peeing everywhere! We won't give the twins away, either!!! Thanks!

I've had her for about 7 months, and people have told me it's bad to leave a dish out all day with dry cat food, but my cat is not fat at all and does not over eat. So is this ok? as long as she is skinny and well enough to run around in the back yard chasing birds.?

I noticed today that my 14-year old tabby cat has about a ½-inch bare patch of skin at the end of one of his paws that must have just formed recently. There's no sign of any infection or wound, just a complete lack of hair at that spot. Is anyone aware of what may be causing this?

My daughter chose a name for our new kitten. The name is Twyla... she got it from a movie. Our kitten is female and is white, black, and light brownish/tan. we wanted kind of a girly name. What do you think?

I have been begging my fiance for a BROWN scottish fold kitten for about a year now. I know he won't get me one, so does anyone know where I could find one? They are of a unique breed and their little ears fold down. My thing is, however, that it has to be solid brown. I saw a picture of one a few years back and absolutely fell in love with it. I'd love any help or suggestions you may have. Also, what is the price I can expect?
