I have a cat who's about 2 years old. Everytime I put a glass of soda in her face or even the cap from a soda bottle she scrunches her face and tries to back away as if she hates it. Is there a reason or is my cat just crazy?

It's due to the HIGH acid content, which she can smell VERY quickly.

I don't think it is the smell - it is the fizz from the carbonation. Most every cat reacts this way.

Maybe she doesn't enjoy having things put in her face. Do you?
