I have two fur butts and I am sure from time to time they do get bored. However, this is why I have two. I noticed after I got a second cat the 1st cats stopped destroying things as much. I would always keep an assortment of toys around for your cat. The toys my cats like the best is the mouse hanging from the door ledge, balls, and feathery toys and of course the laser pointer but you control that. I also recently bought that silly little weasel attached to a ball they seem to really like that too esp. if I put some cat nip on it's tail.

Hah, i wonder this, as i have two house cats. My older cat seems completely content just playing with her toys and sleeping on the couch. But my 5 month old siamese kitten DOES get bored. And you can tell because she will walk around and follow you MEOWING SOO loud until you do something with her, like give her an ice cube, or rub her, or play with her. So probably like how some people love to just stay home, and some get so bored, i bet cats do too.

As long as they have plenty of stimulation - even if it is the same things, the same toys, the same hiding places - house cats don't get bored. Cats are creatures of habit, and they don't need to do new or different things all the time. Besides, they spend most of the day sleeping.

Cats are resourceful. They can make games from almost anything. One of my cats loves to chase around after her tail. I used to think only dogs did that. They love crunched up aluminum foil or paper. Even the cardboard tube from paper towels. They roll with it and kick it. And they hang out and sometimes watch what's on the tv. Then there's always catto naps throughout the day.

its all based on a pets level of intelligence as to how bored they become
eg BORDER COLLIES are super intellient.. if you leave them home alone for any lenght of time - or simply ignore their mental needs they become bored and VERY destructive
cats... are about as intelligent as Shih Tzus.. so they can easily tollerate and actually enjoy being home all day.. they sleep more than dogs by natures design anyhow
caged animals have it worse - frequently housed in spaces that are too small.. and often not kept clean enough.. birds are rather intelligent and often suffer from cage syndrome

I dont think so, remember cats are very lazy and would prefer to sleep in the sun anyway.
I have two house cats and they are always sleeping in the sun, never had any signs of boredom from them, have always been happy and content.

i've got popular quite a few indoor cats, and as long as they look content cloth, I attempt to no longer over think of it. Domesticated animals are an engaging phenomenon. people love canines and cats, yet different cultures see them as foodstuff. people usually like beef, yet Indians have a reverence for cows. I even have been by way of canines, cats, hamsters, fish, birds, and a turtoise. in basic terms canines and cats seem to show indications of emotional attachment to people and different animals. i think of it somewhat is by using fact they have inherited generations of domesticated genes. The hamsters surely appeared frequently adversarial to me. Fish do no longer seem to have any thoughts or suggestions. i'm uncertain with reference to the turtiose. I had a roommate with a cockatoo. i could wager a month's income that if she hadn't clipped it somewhat is wings, it could have flown off and introduced its possibilities interior the wild. no one knows for specific, yet all people has comments. Cats, indoors or outdoors, tend to have an self sustaining spirit. I in basic terms understand of one cat that appeared unhappy, yet she replaced into somewhat previous, so I chalk it as much as senility. yet maximum indoor cats i understand look completely happy with the existence they have. they'd't omit what people have, by using fact they have not have been given any concept what it somewhat is choose for to be human. A cat could word its human and end that people are under pressure and fickle. The cat could think of, 'why can no longer that loopy person cool down?' there's a e book via a guy named Herzog spoke of as 'some we like, some We Hate, some We consume.' in case you're no longer in basic terms asking out of boredom or a passing pastime, this e book is the only nonfiction i ended interior a week. think of of it as a superbly happy gas stop clerk in a small city as damaging to a suggestions well being care provider in Boston. distinctive beings are fulfilled via quite a few issues. some desire protection and peace, others desire to be continuously challenged and busy. there is cat-clever, people-clever, street-clever, e book-clever. Cat-clever cats may be consciously helping nature interior the main ecological way. One indoor cat leapt at a malicious program, i think of a mosquito, and ate it till now I knew what happened. consistent with danger it sensed how lots I hate bugs and took pity on me, and likewise stumbled on a reliable possibility to consume a uncommon manage. He replaced right into a multi-tasker and a hero to me.

I think that is why they sometimes sleep so much, and that is why you need to keep them active, like throwing their toys around . My three yr old female is so content sitting in our enclosed porches (which we had enclosed for them) She watches the birds and squirrels for hours at a time, and runs around trying to chase them.
