I've tried the RSPCA, but as he's so old, it's not likely they'll find him a home. He's quite a fiscious cat and has started attacking us. We just can't live with him anymore. We think it's because the household has recently expanded but he was happy when there was just a couple of us, so he needs a home with only one or two people living there.

We have had our 4 month old kitten for just over a week now and he has stopped hiding and started getting braver but has also started to hiss at us (although he is not aggressive towards us in any other way). Also he will not allow us to touch him or pick him up. What are we doing wrong or what could we do differently to encourage him to be our friend?

I saw two in Harrods the other day, they were so adorable - would love to have one or two (not sure if you HAVE to have two)

Anyway, yer they were lovely-can you tell me what they are really like? I've herd things like they are very spitefull, and if they can will wreck your house if they get a chance. Of all the cats this breed seem to have been given a bad name of what i have herd!
So what are they really like ?

Thank You x

I got a new kitten and all he does is scratch, and bite. It is something I cant ignore. Whenever I walk by him he grasps my legs with all fours and hangs on it causing my legs to bleed. There is never a day when I dont have scratches all over me. I have put him outside in the cold, isolation in is pet carrier, smacking, and yelling. Nothing works help I dont want to have to give him up.

i have one of those carpeted cat tree climing things... they have torn the s--t out of it and small carpet fibers are everywhere... expecially on their fur. knowing they they groom themselves 90 times a day is the fiber they are most likely licking up (not in high quantity) bad for them???

We took in a stray kitten for a night two nights ago. He had diarrhea, but after we fed him some solid foods, it got better. Now our kitten has diarrhea. Could she have caught something and it this serious enough to take her to the vet? She's up to date on all of her shots.

I am looking for a hypo-allergenic cat, one that has not been altered male or female. When I say hypo-allergenic I mean a cat like the kind Allerca.com is selling, with a reduced Fel d 1 glycoprotein not the supposedly hypo-allergenic siberian cats. I cant afford one for 4000 dollars so I need to find my own. The Fel d 1 glycoprotein is naturally divirgent in some cats i think 1 in ever 50,000, I really need to find one! Help please!

About two months ago, we adopted an 8-months old cat who has one problem – excessive meowing. She does it through out the day even when not locked in any room. Since the adoption, we tried different methods to correct the behavior. We spay with water when she meows…but that didn’t help. She just meows more. We tried playing with her a lot before going to sleep and she still meows all night in about 2 hour increments. You can hear her from anywhere in the house even behind the two closed doors separating us. We always leave water and her favorite bed in the room where she is staying for the night. We even left food for the last several weeks. Nothing seems to work and it’s getting a bit frustrating since we get less rest with a cat than a newborn baby.

Everywhere I search for answers, I find nothing new I can try. She is fixed and vet saying nothing is wrong with her health.

New ideas would be greatly appreciated.

This might seem silly, but I've been fostering him and he's my baby, and I want to make sure he gets the best home possible.

My boss says its hard to adopt out black cats because ppl just dont want them. (I work for a shelter that works through PetSmart to adopt out animals)

I know a lot of people dislike black cats because they're 'plain' or because there are so many superstitions about them. It's really unsafe for them around Halloween especially.

So, at the adoption agency, I'm wondering what the likely hood is that a good home will want him? I mean, if you were shopping and saw an all black kitten, and 12 other kittens of color and patterns and calico, would you go with the black?

I know this may sound dumb, but I'm his mom (and I over-worry/think things) and I want a damn good home for him.

She was treated for a urinary tract infection yesterday. I know she was lethargic and drinking a lot of water, so we'll have to wait and see if she has beginning stages of kidney disease. She'll be fine, but I won't. I am pooped. She was up 3 separate times meowing last night. I think she's happy. Maybe she was in pain for a while and is now relieved the pain went away. Have you folks ever dealt with something like this? Normally she goes to sleep with me. It was weird.

My wife and I would like to take a trip around the world and be gone for two months. Our problem is that we don't know what to do with our cat. We feel like it is too long to rely on a pet sitter. None of our friends really want to do it. There are a couple of friends that have other cats but our cat has never lived with other cats. She occasionally sees one on the outside of our screen porch and starts growling like she wants to fight it. We're not sure about the idea of leaving her with a friend that has another cat. It seems like that could be asking for trouble, not to mention imposing. Cat sitters have worked well for shorter trips but we're afraid she'd be really lonely for this long a time.

My husband seems to think if we leave extra food out, my grown cat will be okay. I'm worried because his litter box is cleaned daily and I'm afraid that he may get into something. We have never left him alone for so long. I went ahead and scheduled him to board him with my other pets but my husband thinks it's not necessary. What do you think? Am I just a worry-wort?

Two of my friends have cats that are really fat. They are young too about 2 years old. I am trying to find out the type of breed they are to get their genetics and health information. They have short soft hair like rabbit fur. Both are white and brown. Large round heads. Please tell me which breed or how I can find out
