She says I'm mistaken that it's her cat and just looks like mine. I need to know how to prove Fonzie is mine. He's all black so he looks like alot of other cats but she definitely has my cat. She told the cops she saw me burying my cat a few days ago. Help!

If this truley your cat and she and you both know it, bluff her and say he has a micro chip and if she's sure it's her cat, she wouldn't mind letting them check it. That should get her to turn him over. If it works, really go get him micro chipped. Good luck!

That is tuff! Crazy cat lady probably thinks she is a better cat mom and will not give you your cat back. You might have to call the cops again to report a cat napping. If you can remember something, special, an eye that lingers, discoloration somewhere anything that you can to prove its yours, then you can win. If not, good luck.

is your cat microchipped? if so you have proof of ownership right there. are there any markings at all? i have a golden retriever and most of them all look alike but she has a white spot on her chest. think of anything your cat might have. see if the cat comes to her name since most cats will eventually. if for whatever reason you get your cat back get it microchipped asap and register it. this way if the cat ever gets lost of she gets the cat again then can scan her and it will show who the rightful owner is.

If you have a picture, they MIGHT be able to find something distinguishing him, and can compare the picture to the cat. Contact the police yourself, and tell them your situation. Have pictures available to show that you've owned that cat. Maybe some vet records, too.

is it microchipped, if so then you have no problems proving that the cat is yours OR just go and take it back and keep it inside for a few days

Does Fonzie recognize you when you call it by name?
Do you have any pictures for proof that he is yours?
