No. Those are baby teeth just like in humans. There is nothing to worry about. Usually people just don't see the teeth coming out because they are so small. All is well.

HELP! I have a 6 month old ragdoll kitten and the other night, midnight of course she was eating and all of the sudden she looked like she was going to throw up. She was pawing at her mouth and I saw blood on her paws and I thought she was chocking. I called my friend who is a vet tech and by the time she got there my kitten was fine. When she opened her mouth she saw that it looked like she lost a tooth. Today ( about 5 days later) this has happened on and off today and my kitten is just sleeping alot. She was up earlier playing and eating but then started pawing her mouth and I saw blood on her paws. now shes been napping all evening. Should I be worried or is she just loosing all of her baby teeth in the same week. Is this normal?

No, he is a baby and baby kittens will lose their baby teeth as their adult teeth come in. (just like human babies lose their baby teeth!)
If his gums bleed and don't stop bleeding then you should definitely take him to the vet. If there is no bleeding and he is still eating, he should be fine. It is remarkable that you noticed he lost a tooth -- many times they are so tiny people miss when kittens and pupplies lose a tooth! :)
Kittens should NOT drink milk -- at 6 months old he should be on dry kitten food (not adult food) and water. You can give canned food as a treat. Also, i would recommend a better quality dry cat food than Whiskas if that is the main food you are feeding him. Whiskas is very cheap. Science Diet, Iams, Royal Canin, other high quality KITTEN food will help him grow strong and live long. I know they are more expensive but the difference in quality is wide. You should give him specifically "kitten" food until he is a year old. If you have questions about the food, ask the people in Petsmart or Petco as they should be trained on food quality differences. If you like to give him treats, the Whiskas Temptations are GREAT -- my cats love them and they have vitamins too! Maybe that is what you are talking about whenyou say "kitten biscuits"?
Enjoy your kitten! I think you are going to be a great cat parent!

Six months is the age when kittens (& puppies too) loose their baby teeth. It's completely normal. You probably won't find them all since most get swallowed but occasionally you'll come across one. As long as all of the baby teeth fall out then there shouldn't be any problems. Have your vet check your kittens mouth to be sure things are progressing as they should. Sometimes they can retain a tooth (or teeth) and it can cause problems when the permanent teeth grow in.

Yes - you want your cat to lose his baby teeth! You might some around the house - she might eat some. If the baby teeth don't come out the adult teeth will grow in behind and then the cat will be at risk for infection , tooth decay and a whole mess of problems.
Cows milk is not good for cats because cats can be sensitive to lactose (a naturally occuring sugar in milk). You can purchase cat milk at pet stores but it is only meant to be an occaisional treat.

Yes, he's losing his baby teeth. He probably will chew on things for a few months now so make sure he's not able to get things ( like house plants which can be toxic to cats ) that can hurt him. If he chews on you understand that he is teething and give him things to chew on. Pencils are a favorite. My son started a baby tooth museum with his own, his sister's and the teeth of baby animals we knew. It was the world's smallest museum because all his teeth could be held in a 1" square box, LOL.

it's just a baby tooth when they need room for the adult teeth to grow in
if your really conserned you should call the vet just ask over the phone so you don't have to pay the big bill if thwey are wooried about it they will tellyou to make an appointment
Kittens have baby teeth just like kids (26 of them). They lose their baby teeth from about 3 to 6 months. Sometimes kitty's breath will smell bad while he's teething.

Yes kittens teethe. He will lose baby teeth but you may not notice him loosing them. He will also be trying to chew anything about now. btw milk is not always good for a cat, cow milk is rich and can make his tumy sick. Where in the wild is milk available to a cat? You think they can ask a cow to stand still while they drink? Cats do love milk and cream, this does not mean they need it. I dont think there is anything wrong with whiskas, my cat has been eating adult for years.

Yeah...baby teeth fall out.
Just a P.S. here, over 60% of cats are actually lactose intolerant. Thats a myth spread by the media, cats drinking the milk. Where in the wild would a cat have milk to drink? besides its mother obviously.
Whenever I did feed my cats milk they would get ill, and I never associated it with milk...

Kittens should drink water, not milk. All puppies and kittens loose teeth just like human children. We just rarely notice because their teeth are so small.
