I love my cat but because of illness, my dr wants me to find a new home for him. He is 11 and throws up hairballs so I haven't been able to find a good home for him. I asked shelters (that don't put cats down) to help but they take in only abandoned cats. I don't want to lie and say he was abandoned, but I don't know how to find a good place for him to live out his life. He's a nice cat. Any suggestions?

For a house cat- is it best to neuter or not neuter? Do neutered cats get fat/ lazy from the operation, or does this result anyways as they get older?
Or do any problems or diseases result from neutering? Do neutered cats really live A LOT LONGER? - (especially when you read about those that are recorded as being in their 20s- do you think they were neutered)? ONLY SERIOUS ANWERS, PLEASE, because I really need help making my decision, & would greatly appreciate it from people who've had personal experience with this. Thank you!

My cat Honeybunz had a sudden paralysis of the hind legs/tail on Nov. 16 (13th b-day Nov. 17). He's had a heart murmur for a few years. Possible blood clot in the spinal cord area. Had no deep pain response in legs, after 3 accupuncture treatments one leg is moving (shaking). After over $1,500, I need any info on what else I can do. Has anyone used herbal, holistic therapy for this?(transfer factor, oils, etc.) Accupuncture was working, but $85 due at the visit-just can't do it. He is my baby, and he is dealing with it, but it has been 3 weeks and I need to do something. I do exercises on his legs, one foot now won't even bend-is completely straight (the one that moves). He is able to sit up, eats-organic can food mixed with vitamins and drinks -water and health drink. Wets and poops-on pee pads. UTI last week-Clavimox fixed it. He can scoot a little by dragging his back end. If you know of anything that may help him, please let me know. We live in the Green Bay, WI area. Thanks!!!

My kitten is 6 months old and recently started losing the hair on his lower lip/chin. Is there a reason like allergies ? There is no signs of redness or bumps, the skin is normal and he hasn't been scratching. There have been no changes in food or litter. My vet said it might be stress but that I shouldn't worry and not to bring him in. Any help would be most appreciated, Thanks bunches!

I am allergic to cats and they come and try to get in?to my house--in the summer they steal food off my deck (of the plates!) and they crap in my garage.
They keep saying they are getting rid of the cats but don't....what do I do??
I do like these people...I wish I didn't, it would be easy to report them.
Any thoughts?

All of the sudden my cat that stays outside has stopped eating as much. (He's 10 years old, and her loves being an outside cat because when we bring him in he stands by the windows and doors and cries to go out.) I know the vets have told us in the past that animals don't eat as much in the winter, but he has only ate like 1/2 of the food he normally eats here in the last week.... Does this sound like a farmiliar problem that anyone has had? We have a vets appointment in 9 days, but do you think this is an emergancy situation?

I have two 12 week old kittens and one 6 week old. I have heard that the 6 week old shoudn't really be away from her mother and am now concerned she is spending too much time alone. Myself and my wife are at work all day but I ensure I spend a couple of hours with her before I go to work and then we both ensure we spend the whole evening with all of the kittens. When bed time comes around we have been leaving all of the kittens in the lounge but I am now wondering whether we should take the 6 week old up to sleep with us in the bedroom. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Last night my cat ate some white chocolate off our gingerbread house. She is acting fine but I was wondering if chocolate has the same effect on cat as it does on dogs?

i have a 4 month old cat and a 16 monthold one. They both use a litter tray and go out regular. What really bugs me is that they can be out 4 hours, and as soon as they come in they use the litter tray. The other day i took the tray away 4 a few hours, and they didnt have any accidents. do you think if i take it away completely they'll be ok. Also, whatever cat litter i buy, it needs changing every 2 days (even though i scoop the poo out, it still stinks), and the expensive stuff that claims to last a month, lasts a week if im lucky! Any1 any tips on taking away the tray as cleanly as possible????

15yoa female cat ate artificial christmas tree fronds/needles. Has been acting like coughing up hairball for two days, only coughs up green mucus. No other residue. Still eats and passes stools regularly. Anything that we can give to assist in passing, one way or the other?

So, my sister's cat, George, is insanley afraid of me. I look at him across the room and he bults across the way and under my bed.

But, get this, George will sleep on my bed during the night and sometimes let me pet him!

Does he, lol, think I'm someone else at night time?

Anything I can do to curb his behavior?
