So, my sister's cat, George, is insanley afraid of me. I look at him across the room and he bults across the way and under my bed.
But, get this, George will sleep on my bed during the night and sometimes let me pet him!
Does he, lol, think I'm someone else at night time?
Anything I can do to curb his behavior?

Because cats are a good judge of character. Probably doesn't recognize you at night.

Hahahaha.. well I am guessing that the cat probably does not know who you are at night. You should have a flash light with you the next time he is in bed with you. As you are petting him turn the flash ligh on and point it to your face, if he runs, then he thought you were some one else, if he stays then that cat is a weird mofo !!!

When you stare at a cat it is a sign of danger...if you look at a cat you need to blink or yawn so it does not feel threatened.

A lot of cats don't like it when you look them in the eyes. They consider it to be threatening. That's one of the reasons people who don't like cats often get attention from cats. (because the people who don't like the cat, they will not look at him) At night you don't look him in the eyes.

i've noticed that cats in general don't like it when you approach them. they prefer to approach you on their own terms (basically when they feel like it). so back off, and let the kitty get to know you when it feels like it.
