Just playing and got carried away...just say OUCH and tell him no he will stop.
I have an adult cat that when I get upset and start yelling she will bite my cheek till I stop. She doesn't hurt me but lets me know she doesn't like it.
Cats are so cute.

I have one who bit noses when he was a kitten. Most of the time they are playing or showing affection when they bite. It may hurt a bit, but unless it breaks the skin you have nothing to worry about. Let him know that you do not appreciate the behavior by tapping his nose and saying OW, NO. Kittens don't know their own strength sometimes and they learn that the things they do hurt through the body language of their litter mates.

Remember your cats "playing" is really training to stalk/kill prey. Once it starts biting or starts clawing hard enough to draw blood it's probably better to buy it some toys and stop playing with it your self. Even when dangling something for him to play with my cat would attack my arm to get it.

Kittens do that. They are just babies, and that is part of how they learn what is acceptable behavior or let you know that they are tired of being played with.

Get used to it. What's the big deal??? I mean, are you bleeding and need stitches?
Biting is normal for small critters, just a bit of fun and no real harm, you can discourage it by saying NO! if you like.

lol, the kitten is showing u affection... i have 2 kittens and they are either just playing with u, or they are thinking u are their mother...just pet him and next time he does it, don't spank him, just tell him no...its just natural for them to do...

i wouldn't worry about what he's thinking right now. watch for infection, redness, swelling and heat at the sight of injury. my cat gave me a small nip and i got cellulitis which can be deadly. cats have a lot of bacteria in their mouths. that's what they told me at the hospital.

One of two things. He was either playing or angry. Was his tail swishing back and forth? (a sign of anger in cats)
