I've tried the RSPCA, but as he's so old, it's not likely they'll find him a home. He's quite a fiscious cat and has started attacking us. We just can't live with him anymore. We think it's because the household has recently expanded but he was happy when there was just a couple of us, so he needs a home with only one or two people living there.

We've lived with this for 7 months and he's obviously not happy if he's attacking us. Another house down the road started looking after him, but he attacked their 2 year old daughter for no reason, the family was with her, and she was crawling towards the door, he leapt off the chair and sunk his claws into her back. I'm trying to give him the best quality of life, whereas with us he's not going to get that as he's not happy.

Contact your local Cats Protection.

I foster cats for my local cats protection. The cats are not put in a cattery they are fostered in someone's home. At the moment I have a 9 year old - I know it will take a long time to rehome her because of her age, so in the mean time she sleeps on my bed, eats in my kitchen and generally lives as my cat.

Oh and can I ask that you give a dnation - even if it's only a few tis of food and a cat bed - they'll take the cat anyway but donations are welcome.

You are right to be worried about finding him a new home considering older vicious cats don't have it as easy as kittens... Maybe it is not the fact that the household has expanded but more the fact that because of this he isn't getting the same amount of attention perhaps or maybe his living quarters have been moved, or it's no longer a quiet area for him to be. As cats get older they get into the same routine so it's unfortunate for him that it was adjusted but I do think that he will get used to it to be honest.

Get it a walk on part on 'Hollyoaks in the city' It could be the next big thing - Look at that ginger Tom that slept ont roof of the outside toilet at the beginning of coronation street, - It must have been as old as Rita and she's an ancient relic. Still she looks better than fosilised Ken Barlow.
Good luck.

this is normal because his enviroment has been disturbed . He will adjust to the new situation just fine . give him some time ! What do you expect from an old Cat? he is not the youngest anymore and needs more time to adjust
