when I am changing the litter box my cat sticks his paw in as I'm pouring the new litter in and arranges it the way he wants it. Then as soon as I put away the bag of litter, he gets in and craps.

OOOHHHH it drives me crazy. Can't we EVER have a clean litter box? ha ha ha

My male cat (one year old) Chicago just attacks me for no reason sometimes! I love this cat he is very lovable, but if i am walking by or even sitting he will attack me by biting me. He seemed to start it once I moved in with my boyfriend. (Before that I was still always around and slept over too) I have told him no, walked away and I have even used a squirt bottle. The only thing that seems to work (for a short time) is a time out in the bathroom. Can some one please help me?

They always come in to sleep, normally during the daytime, in the daytime they love my conservatory but at the moment they are fast asleep in the warm. I don't have a catflap - I want an early night, is it cruel to wake them and put them out. Will they poo if I let them stay? It's cold outside. I haven't got the heart to chuck 'em out.

Hi,
I just adopted two girls, one five years and the other five months. I am looking for names of female duos like Thelma and Louise, Laverne and Shirley, etc..
My last cats were Wally and Beaver and they lived up to their names.
The girls came with "spring" and "Belle" so you can see why I need new names.
Spring, the older one, is gray and furry (chunky too). Belle is an adorable tiger full of energy and trouble.
Thank you in advance.

He hides under the counter, cries and cries and hardly eats a thing. He seems to enjoy me petting him, but I can only get to that point when I am able to (gently) drag him out of his hiding spot. How long should I expect this behavior for?

My 7 week kitten has diahrea, I took the kitten to the vet and he diagnosed the kitten with worms, today is the 4th day of treatment and there is not a sign of improvement yet. He eats but is still pretty skinny. He also does not use the litter box all the time. Could you give me some advice or any idea of what I should expect?

My mom has a cat she adopted several years ago. We think he's about 7-9 years old. When she got him he was neutered and had been declawed front and back. :-(

Anyway, to get to my question, this morning I saw him standing by the door so I went to let him out and I noticed he was spraying a thin reddish/brown substance from under his tail (which was twitching...) It was only a very small amount of fluid (maybe 1-2 ml), he was not squatting as if to pee, it had no smell. What was the fluid? Why was he spraying? Should he go to the vet? He acted normal other than the spraying.

Thanks in advance for any help/info!

My cat and i are very very close. H efollows me everywhere, and sleep next to me in bed every night. I raised him since i adopted him as a newborn, and bottle fed him. I can even understand what his 'meows' mean. He has never hurt me or anything like that. He even saved my life once when i fell asleep and the stove cuaght on fire, he woke me up.

But yesterday, i was watching a movie, and i was yelling at the movie because it was really exciting....lol.My cat jumped on me, bit my neck, growling, and then attacked my arm. Why did he do this? This is really not like him......

When I came home from work yesterday my 15 pound tiger cat was quietly sick. He'd thrown up watery fluid, and had pooped a bit here and there. He could still jump to places, and he would lie there quietly and then would yowl a few times. When I went down to check on him before I went to bed, he was lying on his side, and he was dead. Just dead. Just like that. I have been unable to reach my vet, left a message, and can't stop just crying. I wonder if anyone might know what was wrong with him...?? He was a very pretty, shiny, happy and playful cat. The evening before, he had been fine...lying on my lap, and cuddling up to sleep with me. Now he's gone...wrapped up in a towel in a box. I'm crying as I write this... so...does anyone know what was wrong with him??? I miss him something awful. Thanks.
