I have 2 male cats that have been peeing on dirty laundry, but tonight I washed my sons bed sheets & I put a littel bit of amonia in the wash. Then tonight one of the cats craped on the bed!!Did they do it because of the amonia or maybe they were mad at one of us ? Is there something I can buy to spray on things so they wont chew or pee on our things?

She had a perscription for antibiotics. It helped, but now we have no meds, the symptons are back. We can't afford to take her to the vet. The receptionst at the Vet said "it seemed she had allergies, and that animals get allergies just like humans. She suggested I get an over the counter "human allergy" medicene and just give her a tiny amount and see if it helps her. My cat is also very congested. I would like to know what you think about that, and if thats a bat idea. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank You, Reed-L

He is a 2 year old and is fixed. He did not do this as a kitten. He not only kneads on me, but he also kneads on blankets and other cloth items. He has been doing it now for a few days and he doesn't do it when he wants to lay on me, he'll do it and then jump off.

I adopted an 8 month old kitten and recently she has been making this crying/howling meow and chirping a lot. She has not been spayed yet (making her a vet appt. tomorrow), but she is not exhibiting any other signs of being in heat. She just had a check up 1 month ago and she was healthy- any thoughts about what may be causing this?

I need someone who has a tried and true method or a product out there I may be able to spray my tree with (it's artificial) prior to hanging ornaments to discourgae my cat from playing with the ornaments. Please do not suggest spraying him with a water bottle, because that'll only work while I'm home! My friend was able to find a bitter apple spray to spray on different items to keep her dog from chewing stuff...is there any kind of spray like that out there to repulse a cat? I'm thinking if I could spray it with something that will offend him (but not me nor my company) then he won't even think of going near it! Or if not a spray....any other ideas? He's 7 months old and is very playful and curious and smart, too! Any ideas out there or useful sites about cats I could visit? Thanks (I'll also be chosing best answer myself)

I adopted a kitten. She is precious. BUT...
1. She runs when you put a string out or ring a bell. She is afraid of toys. She is not playful at all and acts like she is 5 years old.
2. She sleeps a lot. That's all she does.
3. She is more than a lap cat. Everytime she is on the ground, she jumps in our laps and climbs and sits on our shoulders. She doesn't want to play or do anything bu curl up on us and sleep.
4. She has been with us for 3 days. She didn't eat at all on day two. She finally ate this evening.
5. Do you think that she was abused with toys?
6. Is it normal for a kitten to want to be held or to sit on you all the time? I always thought kittens like to play.
7. She doesn't play to be 2 months old. Isn't that strange to not have a playful kitty?

I can take her to the vet, but it's icing and snowing outside. And I am wondering if I should return her & get a new cat.

Help because I love her but don't want a sick cat either.

My cat has never been declawed and used to be very good with her scratching post. Now I have new furniture and she has turned her attention to it (YIKES). One room can be closed off so she's only in it w/supervision, but the other ones can't be. I don't want to declaw and old cat - but I also don't want to have my furniture deccimated while I'm at work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I couldnt find my cat casper all day then I heard him in our living room and I could not see him i looked everywhere until i realise he was inside the wall! i didntt know how he got there and I paniced I started drilling a half inch hole in the wall to get him food and water and I think I may have struck him with the drill when i broke through the wall and went in further with the drill bit than I wanted to go..he made a squealing sound I have never heard him make before and made moaning noises for a long time before going quiet I am not sure if he is drinking the water I poured through the hole I tried forcing cat food through the hole..most of it got stuck but some of it got through and I thought I heard casper eating it but i may have been mistaken

what can I do I dont want to destroy the wall but Im worried about my cat..please help

My cat, Theo loves to eat. He eats all of the time and has no physical activity. You try to play with him but he just plops down. He is very loving and sweet. We can just feed him 3 or 2 times a day, because we have other cats that need to eat too and Margot actually doesn't eat much so everytime she is hungry we let her eat as long as she likes. So how can I get Theo to loose weight?

Neutering pets is the right thing to do, for health and cat population control reasons, but will castration change his personality and turn him into a furry pillow, or just free him from a vexing instinct giving him more time for magic?
Is it even ethical to manipulate his hormonal balance and deprive the world of his spawn?

I got my kitten from my friend, who got it from a crazy lady who left them at a pet store. I have no clue what sort of breed he is, or parenting and such.

Starting with Tiger (such an original name)...

His coloring is a chestnut/red body with slightly darker streaks running down his spine and vertically down his body. His tail also has distinctive racoon rings. His underbelly is white, as is all of his paws and around his mouth. He looks, to be honest, like a house cat.

And to Toby...

He is a gray-tan color, with the same vertical stripes down his body, except for the raccon rings around his tail. His feet are all tan, like is body, and his underside is white with two sploches of tan on his belly. His body structure is very loose, and he has slightly longer then usual legs.

Anyone who is able to help, thank you much!

My baby boy Milo which is 3 1/2 years old had first gotten crystals when he was just 3. I got it taken care of and still was a little worried because i heard this stuff could come back. Well last month i noticed he was peeing blood on the floor so i took him in right away because i was scared he was forming crystals again. well the vet gave me meds and sent me home after the meds were gone, he was still peeing blood. So i called the vet again and they had me come in and gave me a higher dose of meds and for longer. well i have 4 days left of the meds and he just starting going on the floor again. so i have become very conserned, i don't want to keep having my cat go back in and have nothing accomplished.....and before anyone says anything i know stress can be a factor but that is not the issue here. He is my domian cat he rules the house and there are no new animals or living arangments or people. he is also on the same food. so i would like to hear from someone from the same situation

My baby girl is 7 months old, and she is in heat, she has kept me up all hours of the night meowing constantly and I try to sooth her, cause I looked it up and vets say that it is uncomfortable for them when they are in heat....so Im trying the best I can to make her feel good....Anyways, to the real question, I have found a few spots of blood on my floor the biggest one being 1 centimeter in diameter. Is this bad? Is it suppose to happen?......................And yes, she is going to be spayed, just not for another two months.

When I first got her at 8 weeks she was perfect at using her catbox and never had a problem. I then left town for a day and a half and came back to a couch covered in her feces. My mom believed she used the couch out of anger for me not being there. I left for class today and was gone for 2 hours, only to return and find that she had used the couch again, after what I thought was a thorough cleaning. How do I discourage her from using the couch again? I have the cushion covers in the wash now, should have have the whole cushion dry cleaned?
Also, she's having diarreah. I took her to the vet once and plan on going back in three weeks for more shots. I told the vet about her diarreah and he suggested it might be from her recent change to hard food from soft. She has been on the hard food for three weeks and it has only gotten worse. She got a clean bill of health from the vet, what else could it be? She is eating Eukenuba for kittens. Should I take her back to the vet sooner?
