Yes, make sure you are using a shampoo that says it is safe for rabbits. Be careful that he/she does not get too upset and start kicking around or the rabbit may get hurt. You can dry it with a blowdryer if there are temperature control settings on it- warm air but not hot. They have sensitive skin and it can burn easily. Good Luck!

Hi! I have a Dutch Lop eared bunny and once a month, I give him a bath! Rabbits don't have a flexible spine, like a cat, so when you put the bunny in water, hold all its feet in close to its body, because its gonna bail! Set the rabbit in shallow water, so it is able to stand. DO NOT let him or her struggle and jump into the water: it may drown.Water will irritate their ears if it gets inside. Rabbits cant tilt their heads as far back as a dog or a cat. My bunny likes his bath time, I just wash his feet. He even likes to be blow dried on low heat! When he is all dry, he runs around the house like a freak, jumping and zig zagging around! He loves it. Bunnies need to be warm, so make sure you dry yours as good as you can! If he lives out side, make sure he is COMPLETELY dry before going back outside! Have fun!

Unless your rabbit has been peed on, I don't see the need for a full-blown bath.
To just freshen up his fur, you can take a damp cloth and rub it on him.
If there's just one dirty spot, see how far you can get with a wet rag and a comb before you put the whole rabbit under water.
If there's poo caked on him, you could set him in a shallow pan of warm water, and just wet the dirty parts. Keep one hand gently but firmly around his ears and the scruff of his neck to restrain him, and rub the dirty area with your fingers to break up the fir. Avoid soap, so you won't have to rinse anything out.
Never underestimate the power of a good brushing. Just brush his fur out; you'll loosen up dirt. Though, as someone else here said, rabbits keep themselves pretty clean.
Who bathes a cat, anyway?

I wouldn't. It is a very bad idea to stress out a rabbit unduly. Rabbits have VERY strong legs and very weak backs. If you handle a rabbit incorrectly or frighten him, he may attempt frantically to escape and severly injure or even paralyze himself. Attempting to force a rabbit into a tub of water, even if it is very shallow, is a stressful situation. Also, they are very clean animals and groom themselves frequently. They should not need a bath. If you do feel your rabbit has become severely dirty, you could very carefully try it, but I would not recommend it. It also depends on the rabbit. Not all rabbits may be as frightened of the experience as others. If your rabbit seems easily spooked by situations such as having his nails cut or teeth checked, I would definitely not do it. I believe they also have on the market powder "shampoo" to freshen up the fur if you do not want to subject your bunny to anything scary like water. :)

No, you ought to not in any respect bathe your rabbit. Doing so won't cool her down and could purely stress her and could desire to grant her diarea, even nevertheless she looks to love "fiddling along with her water". The ice bricks are a reliable ingredient to maintain in her hutch, or frozen water bottles. If the hutch is outdoors the final could be to take her indoors. you additionally can rub a frozen water bottle or an ice brick on her ears a pair of cases an afternoon, as rabbits regulate their physique temperature by using their ears. be certain she has adequate shade, in case you could deploy a fan close to her hutch, yet no longer in the present day blowing interior the hutch.

In shallow water in the bathroom sink. Stay with it at all times and make it quick. Rub it dry with a towel and then dry it with a hair dryer on warm setting not hot or cold. If it lives outside in a hutch ensure that it is completely dry and warm before putting it outside.
