I have a 3 year old cat who since i have had him will not sleep though the night. He wakes up at about 4 am and DRIVES ME INSANE!!! He runs around the house Jumps into windows running through. He attacks my feet if they move. It's driving me insane. Other then killing him which I have thought of, or giving him away which is not an option either cause I love the damn cat what can I do? Any suggestions?

cat does not goes outside the house and apparantly does not have any kind of health problem ,my question : is there any kind of health danger for women who are around cats?
do not forget that there is only one cat in the house , he does not contact with other animals and he eats only good quality food.

4 YO indoor cat, the vet said she wants to do a detailed cleaning (w/anesthesia, and that there's at least 1 cavity. But she only briefly looked in the mouth. I had another cat have it done at 11 YO, but I would think 4 is kind of young to be showing gingivitis, etc. I almost think the vet just needs the cash, as harsh as that sounds. They talked me into a LOT of procedures for my other cat and ultimately said 'Oh he's fine'
Your suggestions about the teeth of the younger one? We just started brushing her teeth.

When he was little he would suck on anything soft, faces, fingers my bottom lip. We have tried spraying him, giving him a tap on the nose, say ouch (when he bites accidentally). None of it works, he doesn't do it if people are over so he knows that he should do it. Help?

I have a 7 or 8 month old cat that can be a terror. She's been an indoor cat all her life............but she absolutely LOVES being outdoors! Anway, she LOVES ME. She goes wherever I go, she cuddles up to me at night, actually hugging my hand and arm when she lays down. She also frequently hugs my leg durring the day. She litterally puts her paws around me and hugs. Goofiest cat I ever saw. The problem is, she also has times that her eyes all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, shoot fire, her ears go back, and she ATTACKS my arm and hand. I mean, she latches on with all her might and bites and scratches me! I never fight with her or tease her to instigate any of this. On the other hand, my husband does play with her in those ways. BUT, she doesn't attack him like that! She attacked me so bad yesterday that she drew blood with her scatches AND bites on my hand and arm. Needless to say, she is now in the outdoors that she loves so much. What is her problem?? Any ideas?

I have a small 6-9month old cat and he continually sprays my clothes, bedding, sheets, couch, and laundry it smells like urine but this morning i caught him in the act and it was coming straight out the rear. It's annoying me and my girlfriend terribly is there any way to stop him from doing this i'm getting him neutered and declawed next thursday and was hoping that that would help but i don't want to spend 300 bucks and then have to turn around and give him up if he doesn't quit spraying!

Has anyone ever had any experience with taking there cat outside on a leash or know any preparing steps on doing so, etc.? My cat's a little over a year old and once she's spayed I want to start doing this with her and maybe do baby steps in the backyard while on a harness/leash and maybe just walk with her around the front yard. I'm nervous about leaving the front of the house in case she were to get off the leash. She's got out of the house only once when she was maybe 3-4 months old so she's not really an outside cat, and we don't think she went very far because she came back later that night and ever since she's very cautious to even go in the garage (the way she got out).

About 6 weeks ago, I switched both cats to canned food. Poppy is overweight, and is now getting one can (5.5 oz) per day of Natural Balance Venison and Green Pea. I've also started giving her 250 mg of Carnitine. She had a UTI when she was a kitten, but she's been ok since.

Anyway, after changing their diet I noticed that the smell of her urine has changed. (I know it's hers because I can smell it on her butt; I can't tell if Sophie's changed too). It no longer has that sharp cat pee smell. I can't think how to describe it....it's not as unpleasant or strong, but it's not roses either!

She is happier and healthier since the change, so I have no reason to believe there's a problem.

I noticed the change BEFORE I started giving her carnitine, so I know that's not it.

I wasn't surprised that her stool changed color, size and odor, but I wasn't anticipating a change in the urine smell. Is this normal?

My female cat was spayed a few days ago and the resulting wound was not what I was led to expect from online research. Does anyone here know if this could be classified as a botched job? The cat is around 2 kgs and is very small. The incision is 2 inches and very ragged. There are 3 cross stitches which pucker up the cut and the ends of the wire are sticking out. The cat also has a shaved leg with a hole that looks like she had an IV in her vein. I knew she would have an incision in her side but not so big or protruding. Any advice?

Thanks for all your replies but he is neutered and I believe he is spraying to mark his territory as I have seen him do this outside. Also, he is part siamese and gets very aggressive if I don't let him outside.

I have two kittens, one 5 month boy and one 5 month girl (bro/sis). The girl is slim, active and eats well (jumps up on things rather than crawl/claw up) and the boy has a huge belly and is CONSTANTLY eating, everytime something happens it's an occasion to eat!!! I don't think he's even hungry- he just eats to eat.LOL He doesn't jump up on things, but rather claws up, or half jumps and half claws.
.
I have a food dish out for them to eat and make sure it's full at all times, since they are cats/kitten they have small stomaches and need to eat frequently.
.
I need to make sure the girl eats since she's thin (but healthily thin and I want her to keep growing well) but keep the boy from eating ALL the time. What do I do? Any suggestions or experience?
.
The boy just keeps getting fatter and lazier.

Ragdolls are suppose to be calm, relaxed cats, and mine is unbearably annoying. And because it is a ragdoll i cant make it an outdoor cat. Its like having a newborn crying constantly. It breaks my heart to give him away. How do i quiet him down?
