When I first got her at 8 weeks she was perfect at using her catbox and never had a problem. I then left town for a day and a half and came back to a couch covered in her feces. My mom believed she used the couch out of anger for me not being there. I left for class today and was gone for 2 hours, only to return and find that she had used the couch again, after what I thought was a thorough cleaning. How do I discourage her from using the couch again? I have the cushion covers in the wash now, should have have the whole cushion dry cleaned?
Also, she's having diarreah. I took her to the vet once and plan on going back in three weeks for more shots. I told the vet about her diarreah and he suggested it might be from her recent change to hard food from soft. She has been on the hard food for three weeks and it has only gotten worse. She got a clean bill of health from the vet, what else could it be? She is eating Eukenuba for kittens. Should I take her back to the vet sooner?

You should call your vet and let them know what is going on. They'll let you know if the kitten should come back in.

I'm strongly doubting that spite had anything to do with the accidents. The kitten probably had a sudden attack and couldn't make it to the box. It was such an urgent need, that she went right where she was. To keep this from happening again, keep her in your bathroom with the door closed, a folded towel for a bed, food & water, and a clean litter box. This way she'll be less prone to have an accident on the couch.

You may also want to change her to a higher quality food than the eukanuba. Aside from the cruel animal tests that their company performs, it's not a great quality food. It's loaded with common allergens and fillers. Many PetCo stores carry a brand called "Natural Balance", don't get this confused with the 1000 other "Natural" foods, and it's all human grade ingredients, contains no common allergens, and is probably less expensive than the Euk. If you think that it may be allergy related, you could try the allergy formula. It's extra gentle and even if she's not allergy prone, it will still be great for her.

Good luck and I hope that she's feeling better soon! : )

Take her and a fresh sample of her stools to your vet. Good luck cleaning the cushion unless you have a professional cleaners do it. If your kitten has diarrhea and is sleeping on the couch when the urge hits that's where you will find the results of the urges. Once they are cleaned try tipping the cushions. May-be they won't be so attractive to your kitten.

First, please comprehend that everybody right here who has pronounced cleansing the muddle is ideal. i have had cats that isn't use the muddle if it hasn't been scooped interior 24 hours. they are truly that "sparkling" oriented, some better than others (and with Hymalayan you'd be happy about that trait because the hair gained't have "carry close ons"). also restricting the gap in which she's housed once you're literally not abode can assist -- ie placed the muddle field in a room which may be closed with the kitty for a lengthy time period. be conscious: if attainable make this a room that you do not ideas having muddle in because the kitty will pick consistency. Six weeks previous isn't too previous. once you're sitting such as your kitten have a humid fabric reachable and puppy her with it. She might want to initiate to lick herself evidently after that, yet i does no longer situation too a lot for countless extra weeks. i have followed kittens who did no longer have a mom round and no family contributors till 3 months, and that all of them adjusted with time and interest. purely be affected human being - with your self too! you're studying as a lot as your kitten! playstation in case you have not gotten some already be sensible to purchase the cleaners that eliminate the lingering inprint from mistakes out of your floor and settee. maximum puppy shops can recommend you on products (I save at foster & smith on-line for reliable prices and strong products)

Get the cat some Imodium A-D. My vet has suggested that for my dogs in the past.
