I assume that the cat hasn't caused any real injury by attacking your feet. If so, he's just playing or he wants your attention. He may feel insecure about the new living arrangement. If he were really serious, you'd know it, because he would draw blood.
I've had cats do this to me before, so I know how annoying it can be.
I think giving him "time out" is a good idea if you want him to leave you in peace for awhile. Aside from that, make sure he has plenty of toys to play with & is getting some exercise.
Good luck with this.

Well, probably your cat's jealous. Or he wants to spend more time with you. Probably he feels neglected. How old is he? I mean, especially young cats just don't know that he is hurting you or does anything forbidden... Does it hurt, when he attacks you, or do you think, he is just playing? Because I know a lot of cats in my surrounding that just bite you because they want to play... Until last year I had a cat. He was eighteen years old when he died. When I first saw him, I simply loved him. But he always used to bite and scratch me whenever my parents weren't there. But as time went by, he loved me most of all persons on this planet. So don't give up. Show him, that you still like him. And show him, that your friend likes him too. So probably he will feel better and don't attack you anymore. I hope I could help you..

I agree, he is just trying to play with you. Tons of cats do the same thing! If you really want him to stop try not moving when he attacks, like a mouse the cat will wait for it to move before attacking. When he does attack tell him firmly no and either make a sound that's scary or pick him up by pulling the skin on back of his neck(don't worry it doesn't hurt them at all in fact it releases those chemicals that make you feel good) and lift him up and show him you don't like it.
Also try distracting him with a toy when you catch him about to pounce, If you throw or roll it by him, he will be more interested in it than you.
Good Luck

My cat trouble is always attacking my feet. It is something to do with the way you move your feet that catches the cats eye. It is just something the cat is gonna do. It seems to me that this cat loves to play. I found if a cat attacks your feet for no reason they are looking to play and they feel that is the best way to get what they want. Cats are very smart and they know what to do to get our attention. He just loves to play and he is showing you he wants to play ion a way that can get annoying very fast. At cat will take things in their heads and act upon it without thinking of what they are doing. I treid something new on my cat trouble and it seemed to work real good. Everytime he went after my feet i would lay a toy mouse beside them. He would make like he was gonna attack my feet when he was going for the mouse. Sometimes sudden movements will catch a cats attention and just let it go cause he loves to play. Sounds to me like you have a very playful kitty. Love him and play with him as much as possible. Good Luck with the kitty and have fun with him.

He is just playing with you. Give him more attention and play with him more. He sees your feet move and he thinks that you're playing with him. It's natural that cats will attack/pounce on something small that moves.
Don't put him in the bathroom as punishment because he will see that play time is something bad and he will not be as affectionate towards you.

He's just playing with you. When my cat was younger, around 1 or 2 she would do that also. But now that she has matured she no longer does that. Just make sure you're giving him plenty of attention.

your cat is obviously jealous of your boyfriend. your bf should try to give the cat more attention, and so should you. he could also just be playing. if your cat is pet and played with more he might not attack your feet as much

Out of curiousity, is he neutered? If not, he could be ''reclaiming'' you as his territory. Just like with other cats, they bite to claim dominance among the females.
