she's all black and had her mouth open. she looked so freaky i jumped. she looked like she wasn't alive. have you ever seen this? any meaning to it? she's done it a few times now.

Some cats smile, it means that they are happy. I think that's really cool.

My cat bit into a lamp cord when he was a kitten. It burnt the corners of his mouth about 3 cm and 15 years later he still looks like The Joker from Batman when he smiles.

Don't b afraid. Cats smile. It isn't smiling like humans smile, but it is a facial expression they have from time to time. Weird, huh? Dogs have a smiling expression, too.

i think all kittys smile. that means they are happy and content.
next time you see her do that take her picture. you would not believe how many pictures i have of my kitty. anyway, back to your kitty, don't worry....it is something that cats do all the time.
she's just a happy little girl !!!!!!!

I've seen this before , they often appear that way when they are yawning and sleepy perhaps this would explain it.
