I heard a grinding sound and looked at my new parakeet and saw her moving her beak. I thought that was kind of cute. It made me think that she is getting more comfortable in her new home. ??? Thanks for your help. It's been a really long time since I had any bird as a pet.

My friend gave me a keet and said it was hand fed but this bird acts like it's not tame at all. She is letting me pet her with a feather and she eats out of her cup when I hold it up to her. I thought that was pretty good considering she won't let me pet her with my finger and won't take food from my hand. She seems sad and lonely. There were other parakeets where she lived before just not in the same cage. Should I try to tame her and/or get another parakeet? I got her 8-4-06 in the night time. Thanks for your help :)

I am a pet groomer and a vet tech. i have worked with animals all my life. I am always rescueing sick and abandoded animals. I would like to adopt a umbrella cockatoo. I really dont have the money 2 buy 1 but I always go to the pet store to play with them. Does anyone have a cockatoo that they r trying 2 fine a home for. I promise I will take very good care of it. I live in Lexington, Ky and I work for a vet.

All those nice ducks in the pond and you try to feed them, and then all these seagulls come and cause trouble.

They start yelling at the ducks because they think that food belongs to them.

The cat had gotten it...now it's in a bird cage. It's survived the night..alert and drinking water from a eye dropper. Thistle is there if it wants it.
Oh..it's not a real young bird but not quite able to fly. Looks like it needs some tail feathers. Probably why our cat found it. It's a female House Finch.
We have Lindsey Museum in the next town which has an animal rescue hospital there but their closed on Sundays. What do I feed the little gal until then?
(and yes..I did take her outside hoping maybe the trama was over for her and she could fly away...she just tried to run fluttering her wing, that's how I know she can't fly yet! Maybe fell outta a nest..dont know!

Anybody?

i have a sun conure and a gold capped conure, they are in love, but i dont know there sexes, and have never seen them doing it, but the gold capped has layed and is sitting on eggs.. will they hatch if fertile?.. i dont know if the 2 types of conures can breed.. PLEASE, i know all about the fact that there are 2 many birds in the world, and i didnt plan this..
