that's cute..how do you know they're in love? evidently the one laying the eggs is a female ! you won't see them doing it because they are two different type of the same breed. like example..parakeets,,one blue..one green,,these won't mate because of the color difference ,,yet they're still parakeets. a female bird of any breed can lay eggs at any time even without a male present. what you have are eggs that will not hatch,,she has the instinct to sit on them but they won't produce any thing,,,,,,,,,,,and sweetie,,there aren't too many birds in the world..as pretty as they are ..i think we need plenty more!!!!!!

When the eggs are a week old, try to candle them. To do this, hold up an egg against a flashlight in a dark room. You should see blood vessels forming, which looks a little bit like spider webs. There should also be a dark spot, which would be the heart beating. Sometimes you can see a smaller dark spot, which is one of the eyes forming.
Birds do lay eggs without a male present. All of the store brought white chicken eggs are raised from hens in small cages. They lay an egg, and the egg rolls out to the front of the cage. They never even see a rooster their whole life.
I don't know anything about conure birds. Are they just different colors of the same species, or are they two different kinds of birds?
In ringneck pheasants, the different colors, buff, albino, etc, can all breed together, but they won't cross with the Golden or Red-gold pheasants.

In a weeks time, by candling your eggs, you can see if a embryo has started or not. If the egg shells are very dark, it might take longer to find out.

Odds are they didnt do anything they werent supposed to. If you want to learn there sexes contact your local bird vet (which can be hard to find anywhere). Its easy to find out these days, they do it via DNA through blood. No surgery required. I dont know much about conures, but occasionally there are tell tell signs of birds sexes without any intervention. Throw those eggs out, there gonna start smelling soon!

they will hatch if you keep them warm in an incubator or if you feed the mother fed at all times so she doesnt have to leave the eggs until they hatch
