I was always fascinated by pigeons and their beauty and now I have decided a want a pigeon as a pet for myself... before getting a pigeon I wanted to Ask if pigeons really make good single pets ?
Are loyal to their owners? Do they fly away and never come back if taken outside like parrots? I only want a single pigeon as a pet and I am not interested in keeping flocks or a large number in aviaries...
do pigeons really get attached to their owners ? do they return the love to their owners ?
please tell me all this... I am curious ..

Ok, so we raise chickens for eggs and such. They have a pretty good size coop and all. I know there's always a pecking order and such, but I've never seen anything as bad as this one chicken. I think her wing is broken, she has NO tissue on her scalp. In fact, at first I thought I saw brain (but I didn't). So, any advice for anything to help the chicken out?

Sometimes my cockatiel puts his wings directly behind his back, he does this sometimes when there is music/voices and other times when nothing is going on. What does this mean?

We've had him about a day.

I'm moving to my dad's house in Vegas for college and his wife is not fond of birds--thus i want to try to get rid of the little noise my girl makes. She is usually very quiet excluding when I leave the room. I raised her from when she was 3 weeks old (runt in the litter) so of course she is very attached to me. Any ideas to try?

Can anyone please tell me why my male pet budgerigar keeps vomiting a clear liquid all over his head? He usually does it early in the morning so that he looks really rough when I get up, but then he picks up as the day goes on. Does he need a friend do you think? He doesn't do it every day just once every 1 or 2 weeks.

Why do people get cocatoos as pets? when they live up to 100 years and need you so much?

And they are so highly intellignet and socaible needint bird friineds and mate for life when your life will change so much and upset them... Also as you dont need a cage why get one... If the bird has bonded to you it wont fly off even if let outside.

any experience of losing their bird? Today I lost my parakeet named Princess. It hurts a lot, I know that. She was outside, wings clipped but still able to fly a little and next time I checked inside the bushes, where she plays with the other three parakeets, she wasn't there. I've been trying to look for her, but she's no where to be found. Very painful.
