I live in dallas texas. I have 4 aviaries in my back yard. I have doves and parakeets in one of them right now and a pigeon in one of them, I have a greenhouse yet to be fenced in and I have a smaller one too. I got all of mine given to me for free. I trade a quaker parrot for one. I also have 2 bird rooms in my house and one indoor aviary. I have 20 cockatiels, 2 quakers, 8 english budgies, and 2 parakeets.

I have a small indoor aviary in my studio. It contains a mixed collection with a Zebra Finch, Japanese Quail, cockatiels and budgies. All together I have 9 birds in it. I built it myself and although I love it, it does have some flaws such as the doors and the floor is difficult to keep clean. However I wouldn't be without it! My birds love being able to fly, especially the budgies. The aviary is 4 feet long, 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide. It's large enough to let the quail wander about yet small enough to fit in my bird room with minimal problems. I also don't have to worry about chasing the birds in 4 different cages - everyone is in the same cage and I only have one cage to clean on cleaning day! The down side is that everyone eats the same food whether I like it or not. I can put all the food in different bowls and section the birds into the type of food they eat, but it doesn't matter. I now buy one type of food and try to mix seeds that the finches can eat but won't harm my other birds. In the end the birds seem to agree with this set up.

My living room is the aviary. I have an african grey, 3 eclectus parrots, several cockatiels and a parakeet. At the moment I have 2 more eclectus because I have a breeding pair..so I have 5 eclectus total. But the babies will be placed in homes when they are weaned.
All total I have 14 birds in my home.
I have ropes that I've macrame'd out of thick hemp chord that go across the ceiling with toys about every foot hangin from them. The parrots love to play on them. All my birds are flighted and enjoy the run of the house pretty much.
