okay well this depends on what is better for you. Both birds make awesome beginner birds but cockatiels do cost a little bit more but not too much more so cost shudnt be too much of a problem. just make sure u save up enuf! budgies cost less and also don't need as big of a cage. If you live in a smaller apartment and don;t have much space then a budgie will be better but if not you can pick either one! =]

It depends on the needs of your household. Both budgies and cockatiels are great beginner birds, and both can be taught almost all the same tricks and words. If budgies in your area are around $20, you'll probably be looking at $75-80 for a cockatiel.

The main concern I would see between the two is noise factor. Cockatiels are generally louder when they squawk in the mornings and evenings, but their pronunciation of words is usually clearer. They also live slightly longer.

You mean cockatiels right. Go for it. They make great begginer birds. You won't be sorry.
Get a book and learn all about them before getting a little friend.

I would advise you to take the atiel. it's a More resilient/ hardier bird. they are very loving birds and will make a great companion as long you care for it. In general they live slightly longer.

Cockatiels can be quite expensive and need alot of care, need to be trained well, because when they bite, you'll know it,
Try a budgie again you can teach them to speak and that can be lot of fun.

A good starter bird would be a bugie/parakeet. any other birds closer to the parrot family take a lot of work, believe me!!
