You might contact your local animal control office and see what they suggest. I don't know how strong an owls homing instincts are, so there is a chance it could be caught and relocated. Don't do anything to harm it, as it might be protected, and that would only get you into trouble.

What kind of animals do you have ? Have you SEEN the owl killing your baby animals?

Raccoons, coyotes, foxes, even domesticated cats are other predatory mammals that are known to take unsuspecting young...especially at night.

Owls primarily swoop down on their prey and take off with it. They usually will not pick on something that is bigger than they are for the fact they can't carry it off.

The biggest item an owl can take is a skunk. Are your animals bigger or smaller than a skunk? If they are bigger than a skunk, I would look more towards raccoons and the like.

Owls usually eat small mammals like mice, voles, skunks, even other smaller birds.

Circle of life...owls eat small animals. It's how it works. Just leave it be and be glad that you are privilaged enough to have an owl take up housing near you..they are quite entertaining to watch. We had a mother hatch out eggs in our tree once, and I actually got a chance to pet the baby owls once. They would come out and fly down to my feet when I came outside. One day one of the babies came down the side of the tree and I walked up to it..and scratched it right on it's head. It was amazing.

Are you sure it is the owl eating the babies or another animal, owls normally don't eat other animals other than rodents, but if you really wantto get rid of the owl call your local SPCA and ask them for someone that can come and catch it

call your local USDA office if you don't know where one is ask at any feed store. They might even come and capture it for relocation.I also think owls are afraid of snakes so you might try some of the fake snakes like for garden in areas whit small animals, also if you can cage small animals at night. also a night light that would help since owls don't see well in light. Hope this is some help.

A flashing light (like a police light) ususally red ones or yellow ones are available that run on batteries.
We use this to keep owls, hawks, etc. off of our property and protect our chickens and other babies.

we also live near lots of woods, etc, the owls and hawks are residents who also help keep down the rat/mice,moles,etc.........its a hard choice.......the balance of nature you know..........sorry theres not really much you can do, unless you call an animal control officer. good luck........S.T. from ohio,,,,,,,,
the answer of firecrackers sounds like a possible suggestion, but you'd have to stay on 'owl watch' all the night long .......oh well
also the wild birds get other nuisance animals........please keep a good eye on small dogs and cats..........the wild things dont know the difference between them and baby rabbits..........

I would call the local animal shelter or animal control in your area. If all else fails call the police and they can direct you. Good luck
