I found an egg on rock when I went with my folks up to Lake Las Vegas this Sunday, I was tempted to take it home since I didn't seen any other birds or a nest. But my older sister told me to leave it there, I didn't touch it.

But I told myself the next time I found a bird egg I would probably sneak it back home.

Would you do this or not?

No jokes or wisecracks please.

When I went up to Lake Las Vegas this past Sunday with my folks. I found an egg on a rock by itself, unbroken and no parents around. I wanted to take it home but my older sister said to leave it.

I was tempted to sneak it back home but now I feel guilty about leaving on that rock.

Should I have left it there or brought it home?

No jokes or wisecracks allowed!

It looked like a bird egg and it was probably about the size of a tennis ball.

I'm a little upset I don't have it with me.

When do you think my new parakeet will be able to come out of her cage?
Hi i bought a new parakeet about a month ago and so far has been out of her cage three times but each time she was terrified. the first time i threw a blanket over her and did not miss and got her back safely. The second time i missed and had to use my hand to gently coax her step by step back home. The third time i had no choice but to catch her with my hands. I am worried about when she would be ready to come out without her being so scared. Inside the cage she is awesome and she is hand tame. She will step on my hand to eat millet without thinking twice. But then once she gets out of the cage she is a totally different story. Is she just not ready yet? Are there any signs that a bird is ready? are there any methods that will let the bird make her own decision to pluck up the courage and come out by herself?

I just got a 9 month Quaker. The guy at the pet shop said they are in the top 10 of talking birds and that this one talks a lot. Yet he didn't get it to talk in the store and i've had it for 2 weeks and still nothing. Do they have to get use to you to start talking again. Any advice on how to get it to talk or did I get scr.e.wed over. And if I did, How much does a "used" 9 month old green quaker sell for?

I saw a bird outside work today that I had never seen before, and later found out a woman had lost a rare bird from South America. Now I can't find anything but North American bird-watching sites, and it's driving me crazy. Be much easier if I had the name of the bird, but such is life. Anyone have any good sites??

My friend has a pet bird and says it loves her... on the other hand, I don't think birds are capable of love, rather, only acknowledgement which she is interpreting as love. (It's a parakeet).

Since I've had my cockatiel, (about 3 years), he has bitten, but only small, non harmful bites. And it wasn't all the time either, just when threatened. Which has brought me to think that really, all birds are going to bite.

Recently, my bird has become excessively agressive. I can't even sit with him on the couch without him walking over 2 feet, with his head ****** forward, just to bite me. I try to pick him up, he bites me. So me and my dad decided to put him in his cage and cover it with a blanket for the rest of the day, and the night. The next morning, we let him out, let him walk around for a few minutes, then tried to communicate with him. He bit my dad again, and drew blood. He's currently covered and in the basement (hes normally upstairs, and out of his cage). I have no idea what to do with the bird to make him go back to his normal self! Hes usually a pretty friendly bird. Well, thanks for the support, I look forward to hearing your advice.
