I have been babysitting my cousins birds, for almost 2 years, and have no word from her for almost the whole time.
I have paid for all of their care, and food, etc.
That said.......
I just moved, and have no room for them inside, NONE, I tried, so I have a covered deck outside, and I have a spot up high for them to be. they have been safe and very well cared for.

Well this morning we found the cage smashed open, and the birds dead on he lawn.
I am so sad, Ireally loved the little sweethearts.

Well my cousin called me 3 weeks ago and said she wanted to come get them in the end of August.

I don't know what to tell her. I mean I will tell her the truth, but Idon't know how to tell her.
Should I replace them? Even if I have paid for their care for so long? Really they were more mine than hers.
HELP!!!! What should i do? I feel SOOOO Bad.

He's so picky and afraid of everything, it'd probably takes months of trying to get him to eat pellets. Plus pellets are way more expensive. How can I get him to eat fruit and healthy stuff?

not many feathers, eyes not open, can see inside stomach, head is too heavy for it's neck, can't walk, don't know if it's male or female, needs help, found in backyard under mequite tree limbs, alone, no nest in tree or surrounding areas.

The problem is, is that the nest it came from is too small for all the baby birds. There's already three in a nest that is a bit smaller the a CD case. So if we put him pack in, I'm afraid that he would fall out again, this time with injuries.

What shold I do?

I got this from http://www.aspca.org

On June 29, the ASPCA received a complaint of a dead rooster near the West 213th Street residence of Humberto Rodriguez. Upon visiting the scene, our Humane Law Enforcement agents found a beheaded adult rooster on Rodriguez’s fire escape. Agents brought the rooster to the ASPCA’s Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital for examination, where veterinarians determined that the bird also suffered from two broken wings.

Following further investigation, on July 28 ASPCA Special Agent Joseph Lemos arrested Rodriguez near his residence for biting the head off of his pet rooster. The 54-year-old Manhattan man has been charged with one count of animal cruelty, which is punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
