That would depend on where you live. Up in the North-East robins and very common, a park in the city will have english sparrows. If it's near water, there will be pleanty of grackles.
In the South-East you will see many cattle egrets. But if you were to make a trip from the East coast to the West coast looking for birds, and you kept track of what kind and how many of each species the you saw, the highest number will be the morning dove.

It may depend some on where you live. But, some common ones would be; Sparrows, Blue Jays, Black Birds, Starlings, Mocking Birds, Cardinals, Robins and maybe a Chickadee, Titmouse and Wren.

Mourning Dove
Rock Dove (pigeon)
Blue Jay or Scrub Jay (dendpending on location)
American Crow
Common Raven
American Robin

It obviously depends on where you live but some songbirds and doves, some owls on occasion. Otherwise it'll just be your average birds and stuff, not much. Vultures are very territorial and only come around where there's a dead animal out in the open and you won't see many seabirds considering they live on the ocean or the very coasts. Otherwise their migration paths are over open water.

In Chicago the most common birds I see are sparrows, doves, sea gulls, starlings, black birds and red birds.

Well, around here, sparrows, chickadees, starlings, robins, cardinals, crows and seagulls (in some areas of town) are common. We also get the occasional blackbird, oriole, hummingbirds if you're up early enough...

Common, it all depends on where and what climate you live in. Blue jays, robins, kill deers, cardnials. There are many. here the most common is the Robin
