We got her in May and my older cat tolerates her, but doesn't exactly LOVE her. I always try to pet and cuddle with the younger cat, but when I do she runs to my older cat and cuddles up with her. Why? My older cat isn't even that nice to her! We got the baby when she was VERY little, so I'm wondering if that's why. It's just upsetting because I want my younger cat to be close to me and my bf, but she'd much rather spend time with the adult cat. My older cat would much rather spend time with me or my bf...unlike the other cat. I'm glad they somewhat get along, but is there anything we can do to get her to be more sociable with us?

I usually use a website like WEBMD when it is something revolving around a human, but since this is an animal I wonder if there is a website that is dedicated to pet health?

My Mom has a Golden who is the sweetest, most gentle dog I have ever seen. She is very dominant and only one other time has gotten aggressive with another female dog that was an adult. But even if the other dog is female, she is gentle as long as she's been around them since pups. I have an 11 week old Lab and I interact them every other day usually to keep both dogs accepting of the other. They usually get along GREAT but on Thanksgiving Mom brought her over and at first everything was fine. But suddenly when my puppy tried to play with her with one of her (my puppy) toys, the Golden began snarling and growling and pulling away. Then on 2 occassions, she actually grabbed her the skin on the front of her neck and held her. Luckily they left shortly after, saying I was mean because I intervened - not being mean, no hitting or yelling. Just separating. What could have caused this sudden change? Could it be from possibly coming into season? Just curious because she's so sweet otherwise!

she was six years old, lab, perfect health, the night before i was playing with her and she was full of energy and life.then this morning she had a seizure, so we took her to the vet hospital, and on the way there she was out of it, but would look up at me from time to time, and i could tell she knew who i was.then after about an hour in the waiting room, we went back to see her, and she was in a cage, with her back to the room, and when i talked to her she wouldnt turn around, she was just lying, her head up and eyes open, but she was unresponsive.so we left her there for the day, and she had another seizure around four, and then at nine the doctor called and said that she had kind of had a mini seizure, like flailing and stuff, and then just stopped breathing.he thinks that she may have had a brain tumor that started bleeding, but other than that he has no idea what happened, and we never had any signs of brain disfunction.if anyone has any ideas at all, please, i loved her soo much

I just got my hamster for 2 days. Just when it got kinda used to me, my brother, after petting it, forgets to close the cage and it got out. I didn't know it was out, i was just sitting on the floor and i sorta...crushed it, well not really crush. I just know I pressed on it too hard or something but now it's really scared, maybe paranoid. It just keep running all over the cage, digging, trying to get out. And when I got close it it, it tries to run away. It didn't run away from me before. What can I do to regain its trust? :(

Hi all,

We recently got a Boston Terrier for about a week. He's three months old. He's a really really energized puppy, likes to run all over the place and just crashes asleep immediately after he's tired.

But there's one problem

Everytime we leave him alone and go out. We keep him in fences inside the house. Inside the fence we have some water and sometimes food, a sleeping pad, and a pad with those smell for dogs to pee/poop on.

But whenever we arrive home, we always see a huge mess because he's been stepping on his own poop and all around the fences all over the place. Although this never happens when we are home and we only got him for one week. This happens EVERYTIME.

Is there something we can do right now? Or we could only wait for him to learn the proper manner? Thanks for any help! =)

I recently rescued a puppy (hound mix) who was the runt of the litter. She is extremely small and engorged with worms.

I know I should take her to the vet. Any ideas on how much treatment will cost? (....not like it matters, I'm broke)

I have already given her very strong prescription de-worming medication that my father keeps on hand. Is there anything else I can do?

Please help. She is in very bad condition and I'm afraid of losing her!

We've been keeping my brothers dog for the past month, and just like my brother said, he throws up if he eats bones. (Steak Bones, Rib Bones, etc). I'm wondering why he does this. Is there something "in common" with all animal bones (besides the fact they come from animals), that would make him throw up?

like he was drunk a couple hours later he couln't hardly get up, and when he did, he could not keep his balance and fell it looks like his back legs are paralized. He is not eating or drinking, I am giving him water with a sports bottle. I have called a few vets but they all want big bucks to even look at him. This all started about 24 hours ago. He did throw up a couple of times, and did have a bowel movement, there was some blood in the stools? Do you guys think maybe he was poisoned? Are the signs of poisoning , Lifeless, not eating or drinking on own, blood in stools. Any answers or suggestions will be much appreciated. Also if any one knows of any angencies there may be in arizona that help low income families with vet. bills?

I found that no matter what I put in there from peanut butter, to cheese, to treats, to combo of all of these things, he seems to finish it pretty fast. Just wondering from all you experienced dog owners, what is the longest lasting thing to put in there that will keep him busy for the longest time without it being gone quickly? Thank you.

I don't leave them in there for more than 2-3 hours... I'm never gone *that* long... and I can't leave them outside any more as my fence blew down and I can't afford to put up a new one yet...

So how do you crate train an older dog?!

She's a very healthy, beautiful, and wonderful 4 month-old yellow lab. I have heard that the puppies at pet stores come from "puppy mills" and the ACA registration means little. We were aware of this before we walked into the pet store, but we knew she was the one we were meant to bring into our family.
